If you appreciate Deine Lakaien's music and do not own this album, buy it now. Your Deine Lakaien experience is incomplete until you have this and Dark Star. If you do not know who Deine Lakaien is, this is a great place to start. Alexander Veljanov's voice is rich, dreamy and unlike anyone's in existence. This album would probably not be as appreciated by the masses as much as Kasmodiah, or White Lies (the newest full length album at the time of this review), but could potentially be more valued by those who love innovative darkwave music. Released in 1986, it was truly before its time. Also seek Ernst Horn's other projects: Helium Vola, Qntal I & II (Qntal III is different as Ernst Horn left Qntal), and his solo music. Deine Lakaien is a true original, and the music plus lyrics are deep with layers of emotion and meaning.
