Same story by Kazuo Ishiguro under the title Never Let Me Go. That one will be hard to beat.

There was also the similar but different Dystopia "Winterflight" by Joseph Bayley. In "Winterflight" children found to have some genetic disorder such as Sickle cell anemia or Tay sachs disease are aborted in the womb. Those who happen to get by the screening are taken from their parents and placed in hospitals where they are made Comatose and become organ banks.

The elderly are required to report to euthanasia centers at age 70. Pro Life group members who are caught trying to help the young or poor escape their fate are sent to a Gulag in Alaska.

Harkius says:
Dystopian novels are fairly common. They are the sci-fi of children who grew up in a disaffected and disappointed generation.
