Apple's replacement battery program is currently about $65 including shipping. It takes a week and you lose all your songs. I paid $14 including shipping for this battery. It took 5 minutes to search the internet for installation instructions and then replace the battery. It's a bit fiddly, you need to take care, and know that if you mess up you're have a problem, but I'm not very delicate and I did it with two very small screwdrivers. My son now has his Ipod working again. Good option if your Ipod is out of warranty.

I bought it for almost 2 yrs already and it still works great with my ipod mini! The one I got with my mini when I bought it died slightly after the first yr. This one is cheap, too!

I bought two of these to install in two different mini's that i own. both worked well for approximately a month, and then they started running out after 1 hour of playback. sometimes they will run out immediately (and that's after a full charge overnight).

You get what you pay for, so raise your budget for a battery replacement just a tad higher.

It's a very good battery and fits mini iPod well. The pack came with tools (two small screwdrivers) and instructions. Have used it for several weeks and everything is fine. Very happy with this purchase.
