This is a very bad product don't order it. It never finish to charge. Only has about 90% of the specified capacity. After a discharge refuses to charge again. When discharging jumps from 30% to 0% and the Notebook turns off whit out any warning...Don't buy this thing

This new extended one is to replace to my small size original battery for my T43 laptop that I have been used for years. The old one was only lasting about 1.5 hours; With one, I got about 4.25 hours. I carried it for a long plane trip. It works great and price was quite low. I just also want to advise the new user that be aware that in order to get the higher capacity battery life, the battery will be bigger. It may not work with your docking station because the battery sticks out the back. Therefore, make sure that you use the regular battery when using docking station in your office.

Ordered two of these, one is working well and the other was dead and unable to charge out of the box.

I was so happy to have extensive battery life.... and within 1 month it's down to about 2 1/2 hours.

I purchased two items within 3 months of each other. The first one was returned to Amazon, for a full refund. It was returned because I thought it had a bad cell, it would not charge. When connected (yes properly)the battery charging light would not turn to a charging green light after days of connection. Purchased another one only to have the same problem. I sent it back to Brilliant Store. The same thing with the replacement, thought it was the laptop. Paid a repair tech $75 dollars to inform me there was nothing wrong with the battery or my laptop, the problem was the laptop connection did recongize the battery because it was not an OEM product and the laptop battery connector would not read the battery connector once connected. He said sometimes it will work without any problems but with your lap, it only wants to recongize an OEM product. I email, Brillant Store and they only stated this: "Your battery is still under warrenty and we will gladly send you another one". I don't know how they thought this was the solution. I returned it to Amazon for a partial if any refund. I am waiting for their reply. I will keep you posted. The reason I didn't know the battery wasn't charging is because I was on vacation (didn't take it with me) and I have a PC. so time was noton my side this time.

Unbelievably bad product. I received this item on June 8, 2010. By June 24 (16 days later) I knew there was something wrong with this battery and so I ran a test to see how long it would take to go from a 100% charge to a 50% charge. At 6:36 pm I unplugged the adapter and continued to work on my laptop. I want to make it clear that during this test I did not download any files, play any video games, or do anything except work on a simple spreadsheet. By 6:43 pm, I was already down to a 50% charge. I've already contacted Amazon to start the return process. I would give a negative rating if it were possible.

I'm sorry to add another bad review for this product. I was looking forward to once again having a longer battery life for my laptop but this battery failed about half-way through the first charge. (Sorry, I wasn't timing it so I can't give you and exact number)

When I got the battery I followed instructions and turned off my laptop, installed the battery and put it on charge overnight. The next morning I turned on the laptop and it booted normally. Everything was normal until the machine suddenly died with no low battery warning.

I thought it might be that it would need a few charge/discharge cycles to train the power meter, put it in my bag to take home and charge. This time, after I plugged it in I went ahead and powered up the machine. It failed on a POST error indicating the CMOS clock had not been set. This usually happens when the internal battery that maintains CMOS settings dies.

I swapped back to the old battery, set the CMOS date and once again booted normally. I've never had the rechargeable battery affect the internal CMOS battery before. I haven't yet powered my laptop off to find out if I'll have to replace the internal battery but I have no intention of buying a replacement of this product.

Poor quality control and potentially damaging to your computer.

This battery has breathed new life into my laptop. While using my previous, "refurbished" 6-cell battery, I was only able to get about an hour's use out of it. With the new, 9-cell battery I am using now I can get a good 3-4 hours worth of use out of it. I was afraid that I would not be able to find a battery for a seven year old laptop, but thankfully, I was able to get one through Dekcell, and without them, I probably would have been stuck buying a new laptop.

Product received was as advertised, and while not an OEM replacement, did fit easily into the computer. I have noticed no difference in temperature during powered or battery operation to indicate any issues with the Li ion construction. Battery life is near expected for a new 9-cell battery.

Arrived very quickly, plugged right in - Charged overnight. I call it my "pregnant" battery- sticks out about 1 inch in back, but causes no inconvenience, still fits into my laptop bag. Battery gives me LOTS of freedom, have had to run on battery for 4+ hrs at a time, and still have had power. Definitely recommend this battery.
