This does not fit a DV2000 laptop. Good price unless you have to pay to ship the product to you, then pay to ship back to them. Don't take the chance with this seller.

Well, I got the battery, and it was nice at first. It was about 75% charged and so I tried using my laptop with the battery without the adapter. It lasted a few hours, which was much better than the 6 cell battery I got with my HP dv6000 laptop that didn't last even 2 hours.

The problem is, when I tried to recharge the battery, it doesn't work! It charges up for a little bit (to 20%) and then stops for no reason. I'm using Windows Vista, and the battery icon in the task tray says "plugged in, not charging." I don't know if Vista has anything to do with this, but my previous battery certainly did not have this kind of problem.

I tried taking the battery out of my laptop to let it rest, and then put it back to charge it again, hoping my computer will finally get used to it and charge it all up to 100%, but it stopped at 20%, 40%, 50%, 80%, 90%.

In the end, I got tired of it and it never got better. So I returned it (and wasted shipping money).

I may have gotten a lemon or something, but I'll probably go for HP batteries instead.

I'm glad there was no problem with the refund, that's why I did not give it a 1-star.

This is a third party, 12 cell extended capacity battery. the list of laptops it works with appears to be correct.

Note: as a 12 cell battery, it is double the physical volume of a 6 cell and will jut out of the bottom of your computer.

It works. It fits. It seems of decent quality. I use it when i have multiple back to back classes in large lecture rooms- impossible to find a plug.

It's a pretty good deal.

First laptop battery lasted 4 months. I paid to ship the bad battery back. Second battery lasted 3 months. Northparts said to ship it back. I paid another $11 dollars to ship it back. They then quit responding to me. After about 4 weeks and 6 e-mails I decided to see if I could buy a battery from them. They responded in 10 minutes. I asked them when they were going to send me the replacement battery. They said they did not support Amazon orders anymore. I called Amazon and they could not help. Beware of Northparts

Disappointing at best. Takes forever to charge up, loses power quickly when inactive, and not much more life than the standard battery that came with laptop. I should have looked up the word extended in the dictionary before purchasing.

Product is as advertised. Have not had any problems with the battery life thus far. I'm not an expert on shipping requirements, but I did find it odd that it was just shipped in one of the USPS flat rate envelopes though (thought batteries had more stringent shipping requirements than that). Would buy from this seller again though.

This Battery works great. It lasts between 4-6 hrs depending on what I am doing on the computer. Great price for a great product.

Tried to charge the battery and use it four or five times. Tried reseating the battery, double-checked outlet I was plugged into, and made sure my original battery was still charging and working (it was.) The new battery either wasn't holding a charge or wasn't making proper contact. Hard to know which was the issue. Regardless, it didn't work. Returned it.

It was a great price, but...It kept losing connection and the laptop would shut off. Turn it back on and it shows it still has a full charge. Returned it and bought an authentic HP replacement and have not had the problem again.

This battery has great life at a great price. I was careful to drain it completely before recharging it 4x per the instructions. However, you do have to be careful to get the battery into the laptop. It doesn't just quickly and easily snap in and will pop out if you don't carefully fit it in and be certain that the sliding button is completely pushed over. i would still buy another one.
