The New Quartet Sound,
By
This review is from: Delayed But Not Denied (Audio CD)
Having enjoyed a long and well established tradition for quality black gospel quartet recordings, Malaco records has definitely hit Gold with this 2002 release. The Bonner Brothers of Oxford, Mississippi have established a new sound in the quartet industry. Their ability to incorporate effectively the technologies of the new millennium, and a smooth vocal harmony base, makes this CD a must have for lovers of good quartet gospel. While the major spin of the CD is traditional gospel many of the selections have a very modern flare. Selections like "Stand By Me", "The Name of Jesus", and the title cut "Delayed But Not Denied" are sure to become hits in the very near future. I highly recommend this CD for all lovers of gospel music!!
