Legendary 90's Swedish Death Metal,
By Ogre (Las Vegas, NV) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Delete (Audio CD)
Not one for long reviews, so here's the gist: After Cannibal Corpse released the bar-raising slab of brutality The Bleeding in 1994, vocalist Chris Barnes left the band and George Fisher succeeded him. The next CC album was Vile, and the downhill slide for CC had officially began. However, nature abhors a void, and there was Coercion to pick up the slack. Leave it to Sweden, the land of limitless death metal brilliance to fill the void. Forever Dead was Coercion's debut, followed two years later by Delete, and EP Lifework in '03. To put it plainly, Coercion was the band Cannibal Corpse should have become. Buy everything this band has released.
