You Can't Go Wrong with this,
By
This review is from: The Delfonics (Audio CD)
1970 was a great year for Soul music, and this album certainly helped matters along. Any album that originally contained incredibly beautiful songs like "When You Get Right Down to It,' "Trying to Make a Foool of Me," and the all time classic of this genre "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time," the song that truly defines this era, you can't go wrong with these catchy hooks and beautiful harmonies! As long as CD's like this are available, lovers of GOOD, TRUE SOULFUL music have NOTHING to fear from modern mutations (mutilations?) of this genre.

When You Get Right Down To It...,

It was with great pleasure that I received this CD, a long-awaited reissue of their classic new material from 1970, as a gift. The Delfonics released this album right on the heels of "Super Hits." In my house, both albums could be heard playing back-to-back all summer long. "Delfonics" turned out to be a greatest hits package, all by itself.

This 1970 Classic IS WORTH IT,
This review is from: The Delfonics (Audio CD)
Growing up back in the days in Harlem NYC, my Aunt wore this album out to death. Every single song A CLASSIC. The Delfonics has one of the best REAL TIGHT HARMONIES, something what's now missing with the music of today. The cut "Delfonics Theme (How Could you)" The musicians (Also a part of Gamble & Huff's TSOP)they really get down on this cut just listen to it you don't hear no electronics or drum machines. If you don't add this classic to your collection, it won't be complete. Even to this day I have the original vinyl I still listen to this classic.
