Okay, I have to admit I was already a smoothie convert before coming to this book. Someone turned me on months ago to making delicious, nutritious smoothies as meal replacements, claiming they make great breakfasts. She was totally right!

So with that disclaimer out of the way, I was still blown away by this collection of recipes and tips. It not only thoroughly details the different ways you can make smoothies, it also discusses blenders and how to troubleshoot yours. And all this is before the actual collection of ninety recipes (four sections on delicious smoothies and THEN one on healthy snacks). I found the cheesy popcorn recipe alone worth the cost of the book.

The only thing I wish had been included would be a section on green smoothies, but the book is so chock-full of lots of other information, I don't even really mind.

If you think you might be even the slightest bit interested in the world of smoothies, give this book a try. I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. In fact, I pretty much guarantee you won't be.

Wow, there are a lot of recipes in this book. I've been making smoothies with my family for years, and I always thought it was pretty simple, but there are a lot of ideas in this book that I just never thought of on my own. Adding chai or ginger to a smoothie? Sounds wonderful to me! I can't wait to try some of these out.

I also liked the beginning chapter on how to fix problems. Again, these were things I just never thought of before, and I found the information very useful. I also really liked all the photos, which made my mouth water.

I don't get why the whole book is center-justified, and I did spot a few typos, but these are minor complaints. Tons of information and good ideas in here. It's clear that the book is a labor of love and these recipes have been personally tested.

I'm growing organic vegetables on my backyard and I'm a big fun of vegetable juice so I just love this book. So many wonderful vegetable juice recipes! By taking simple steps, such as the use of vegetable juice and regulation of the amount of calories consumed, women can control not only the weight but also reduce the risk of many chronic diseases. Read this book, drink the juice, be healthy!

Well you will not be disappointed......not only are there great smoothie recipes but other easy and mostly healthy snacks etc. Kids and kids at heart will enjoy all the recipes.....my two favorites are the strawberry rhubarb and the pumpkin. I have many favorites but those for right now are my top two.

I just downloaded this book and I quickly skimmed the chapters. Wow!!! I am so excited to start drinking smoothies. Now I have a great book that I can get some great recipes from. I have a friend who is in great shape and she swears by smoothies so now I can start drinking them too. I am going shopping today to buy some frozen fruit.

Ever since I saw Montel Williams' special on the Green Smoothie (and his amazing food processor), I've been hooked! Smoothies are not only healthy, but they taste great and you just feel so good after drinking them, so it was with a glad heart that I downloaded this awesome ebook! I really LOVED the sheer variety of smoothie recipes, all of which could be made green with just an infusion of spinach! This book also gave me some wonderful tips on how to jazz up my own smoothies, including adding sea salt for mineral content and taste--a great idea I'm trying in my breakfast smoothies ASAP. The author also gave me ideas for ingredients I'd never considered, as my smoothie technique has basically until this point been ″throw a bunch of fruit in a blender and hope it comes out okay.″ The book not only gives you clear instructions for how to blend the ingredients most successfully (no more shoving fruit down with a spoon and waiting as the blender hacks and wheezes in desperation), but it also has nutritional information for all recipes, so you know exactly what health benefits you're getting. Recipes are even further subdivided, including recipes for children and vegetable blend smoothies.

Off the topic of smoothies (which was the primary reason I picked up the book), I also found the variety of other healthy snacks to be great ideas to try making at home! I'm going to try making my own energy bars next, something that will save me money and also allow me to avoid processing, something that is very important to me.

In short, this is an excellent resource for anyone who is looking for healthy smoothie recipes and snacks to jazz up (and health up) their lives! I recommend this book very highly!

What I like about this book it gives you a variety of choices that also include: Vegetable Blends, Drinks For Kids, Popcorn And Snake Mixes and Party Treats. Tonight I feel ambitious and am going to make some Apricot Granola Bars. And now it's your turn. You don't have to be a millionaire to pick up this book, but who knows you might just feel like one after trying out Delicious Smoothie.
