A Little About Me

Hi, my name is Susan & my husband Ted and I raised our family of four kids (i.e., three teenagers and one husband!) even as we travelled to various parts of the world while Ted was working his way up the corporate ladder

Our travels began when Ted started working with Energy companies as a mining geologist, and as a result, we've lived at various times in continental Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Far East, which we've come to fall in love with!

We've travelled through ( or lived in) Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Phillipines, and of course, India & Japan.

As a result of our itinerant travels, we've been quite fortunate, and blessed to be exposed to a multitude of peoples and cultures, and our two daughters and our son have been exposed to a wide variety of foods as they've grown up.

Their regular comment was that they never knew what was brewing in the kitchen, and they didn't care as long as it was tasty!

My main priority has been raising our kids and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for all of us, and over the course of our travels & journeys, I've learned some amazingly healthy recipes that my family & I enjoy on a regular basis.

I grew up in the West, and have lived in the Far East for a significant portion of my adult life. As a result, I've come to appreciate the Eastern philosophies of wholistic thinking and being ... in the East, it is believed that "we become what we consume "

Because I can see first-hand, the difference it has made to my family,
I've decided to write and share what I've learnt by way of integrative vegetarian cooking ... my husband's arthritis has all but subsided, and my children haven't seen the inside of a hospital in years! (touch wood)

I believe that this is largely attributable to the effort we've made to enjoy an active, vibrant lifestyle while integrating personal awareness & spiritual growth with our vegetarian diet, and my family are happier, healthier & more energetic because of this.

I'd consider my (ad)venture successful if you, 'Today's Busy Woman' find that these vegetarian recipes are nutritious, tasty and fast to fix, and that you enjoy rustling them up for yourself and your loved ones & friends

This book could benefit from some help formatting the recipes. It is hard to get to the contents because the photos 'float' over words in the recipe and instructions when I read this on my regular kindle.

I found this ebook very difficult to use. While many of the recipes looked appealing, it was difficult to view the ingredients and methods because the photos covered up a lot of the wording. Because of that, I was not compelled to take my kindle into the kitchen and try out any of the recipes. I think that this book would be better as a hard cover book.

I picked up this book after I got the other one on snacks and am not disappointed. There are a lot of good recipes here that I am excited to try out and may check out additional books in this series.

This a useful book if you eat meat and have surprise guest to cater for who is veggie. There were several repeated pages that were not recipes.

Needs editing. It is hard to read with things spread out all over the page and continued to next page. There is also no nutrition included with the recipes. If I did not have a good knowledge of what I can and cannot eat with my health issues I would not be able to use this book.
