Thank you so much for making this available for free! These songs are dope - bringing back some hot tracks from the past, and you know what, they are just as fresh sounding as ever. Especially with the remixes. I love Freak-a-zoid Robotz. Makes me want to do the robot!

This sampler is an instant time-capsule back to the 80s- right before gangsta rap took over. Some rap purists would criticize Bust A Move and Wild Thing as too accessible, too "pop," but that is giving them short shrift. This is a selection of fun hooky rap with heavy electronic beats. This type of "musical" rap was the bridge between the early hip-hop stylings of the Sugar Hill Gang and the later "gangsta" rap of the 90s.

After enduring a decade of profanity-laced, misogynistic rap lyrics, this early "pop" rap is a breath of fresh air.

Besides, I challenge you to sit still during "Bust a Move!"

It's great to get Young MC and Tone Loc for free. But the rest? Not so much. Still, I am enjoying the trip to the old school rap.

ummm ... it's free, and it's really good, what else do you want? It's a good collection of classic songs, sure you probably won't like one or two of them, but maybe you'll find something new ... check it out!
