For kids and adults alike, these recipes are a breath of fresh air! I found several that will definitely make a debut in my kids' and husband's lunch boxes in the very near future. Thank you for the little tips on presentation and personalizing the every day meals and the reminder on the how to make our kids feel special with hidden lunch box goodies. I personally, not only learnt new ideas, but enjoyed reading Tracey's narrative very much. It's the perfect little recipe book for moms and dads to have. (I only wish there was a paper edition as well, that I could just flip through when needed.)

I can't tell you how happy it makes me (as a teacher) to see moms (and dads) encouraging healthy meals for their kids! There is nothing worse than seeing a 5 year old with a can of soda, lunchable, chips, and a bag of oreos for lunch! This book gives fast & easy ways to send your kids to school with food you can feel proud of, not guilty about! Everyone is busier and busier these days, and it's easy to get caught in the trap of pre-packaged processed foods, but these nutritious ideas can be easily thrown together, or prepared in advance making it easier to send a healthy lunch with your child. This book is easy to read and gives you the quick references you need to put together meals without having to spend all your free time prepping food. While my own baby is just starting solids, I will be keeping this book close at hand to help me develop healthy eating habits for her from the beginning!

I was happy to find this book because I'm not even 2 months into the school year and I'm already making my kids the same thing almost every day. They can't have peanut butter or any other nuts at their school, so I feel limited by that rule. I'll definitely try some of the ideas like the pizza bagels and artichoke dip. I guess my only issue is that I know most young kids have a limited number of healthy go-to items and I don't know that my kids would even try some of the recipes in the book. But then again, maybe I'm not giving my kids enough credit! I do like the ideas of 1) showing kids the new item before school so they aren't surprised when lunchtime rolls around and 2) offering a little treat after school if the new food was eaten. Overall, I enjoyed the book and am optimistic about getting new recipes in our weekly lunch routine.

This quick and easy book is loaded with simple recipes and quick tips for preparing lunches for kids...and adults. As a health teacher these are recipes I'll use to fill my own lunchbox! One recommendation would be to use more of a standard format for the recipes to include prep time/cook time. Recipes in the narrative form take a bit of "work" to read and ensure I have all the ingredients on hand before preparing. As I was reading the book my mouth was already watering so I started compiling my grocery list then and there!

It is always hard to come up with new, healthy ideas for lunch and this book does just that. There are many recipes that my kids love and that I have never thought of. I have made about five of the recipes so far and all of them were a big hit, I can't wait to try the rest. I was happy too because I knew I was sneaking in some healthy options. Get this book if you are looking for something different than the typical sandwich and you are concerned about healthy lunches .

There were so many wonderful recipe ideas for not only children but for adults especially those that are conscious of healthful eating habits.
It shows myself and others who read this book that food can be not only healthy but also exciting and good at the same time.It will teach children that there is "life before fast food" options.

Love love love it! My daughter recently decided to go vegetarian & has stopped eating lunch @ school because the options aren't great. This book has lots of good options for meat eaters as well as those who don't. Anyone who packs lunches should check this book out. Not only are the recipes great, THE FORMAT IS TOO! The instructions are clear and there doesn't seem to be missing ingredients. If you've downloaded many free kindle cookbooks you know how big those things are.
