5.0 out of 5 stars New to Vietnamese Cuisine...
I wasn't very familiar with Vietnamese cooking, but I bought this book because I loved the other books in the series so much. While I don't use this one as much as the others, I've found it's just as easy to use. The recipes come out delicious! I especially like how I, as someone unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine, can create nice meals with the help of the book. I was...

3.0 out of 5 stars Use as a supplement to another cookbook
I got this book as a gift and occasionally refer to it as a supplement to my other Vietnamese cookbooks. Sometimes, the recipes are a bit off (as in not 100% authentic). However, it does contain some good recipes. Improvements could be made by adding a picture and the Vietnamese name of each dish.

I was amazed at how easy spring rolls really are, and I'm grateful for the glossary in the back of the book that explains what the unfamiliar ingredients are.

Eng Tie Ang has obviously dedicated her life to food, and it shows in these books. The recipes take a few short cuts here and there, but the quality doesn't suffer as a result. This makes them even more useful for the mother who's cooking for the family. I love that!
