Sensual. Barbara Hamby's poems read like a word game played out in the mind of a well-read, well-travelled, and highly observant woman. She leads readers into the dream-like inner-workings of her mind with witty, eloquent, and sometimes inspiring commentary weaving topics from bees to love and champagne. I have been reading this collection of poetry for 4 years and I am still entranced by its beauty.
