If you've ever felt like you aren't reaching your potential, this book is definitely for you. It gives you the applicable tips to 'get out of your own way' and succeed the way you were created to succeed. The short, easy-to-read chapters make this a great book for the busy professional. I was able to read it in 2-3 minute increments. This book is a 'must read' for 2013.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Inspiration! October 29, 2012
By Jay
This book was incredible. I'm not a big fan of self-help books because they give you all these "textbook" answers that don't really apply to real-life situations. Not with this book. I can honestly say that after reading this book, I immediately started to see the results of the new knowledge I had acquired. I am a business owner as well as a group fitness instructor, and I saw my performance get better pretty much the same day I started reading this book! The chapters are to the point so you don't waste your time reading fifty BS examples of the same concept. This book cuts the crap and gives you nugget after nugget of invaluable information - like "letting go of the outcome." After reading this chapter, I realized how much I tried to control situations that really weren't in my control, and after taking this chapter to heart I have given numerous speeches that have blown away the audience with my authenticity and level of comfort. Honestly, since reading this book and applying its concepts, I have felt as comfortable in front of 200 people as I do alone with my family!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Investment January 2, 2013
This is a great read. I am a small business owner and I'm always looking to improve the way I do business. I have read numerous performance based books (7 habits, never eat alone, etc) and even more that I never made it half way through. This was a quick read that delivers to the point information that is not weighed down with pointless information. The techniques in this book can be applied to anyone. I am a real estate agent and this had lots of useful tips, but it can also be applied to public speakers, managers, athletes, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars DELIVERING!!!!!!!!!! January 15, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase This book reads like a shot of adrenaline. I don't know what I was expecting. Maybe I am just skeptical and guarded that any book on self improvement is just another empty, vague, obvious, Tony Robins, cultish, you-have-to-be-a-drooling-brainwashed-zombie-to-get-anything-out-of-it kind of a work. This is NOT that. Not by damn sight. It's real. It's effective. It's science. It's humanity. Some people DELIVER and most don't. Those who do, think this way. Those who don't....don't. That simple. I will recommend this book to all of my friends and colleagues....and to exactly NONE of my competitors. Well done, Authors!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Deliver When It Counts! January 23, 2013
By Dawn
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It is one thing to deliver a speech to a group of peers or to a small group of people you are comfortable with, but can you deliver when it counts?

Deliver really does walk you through how to change your state of mind to help you deliver when it counts the most. It's easy to read, and re-read and serves a good reminder that our state of mind and how we are thinking is the key to peak performance on any stage.

This book would be a great gift for anyone who wants to add public speaking to their personal and professional development plan.

My favorite part of the book is David's story of going from experiencing performance anxiety as he is asked to speak to larger and more varied groups within the company he works for to calm assurance. He learns to access the personal wellspring of power that lies within him when he needs it most. David learns to deliver when it counts in his career.

5.0 out of 5 stars Title says it all January 11, 2013
In business there are rarely second chances, and you can never predict when a big opportunity will come your way. So you better be ready. Of course, opportunities don't materialize just because you're a nice person and you've got a great product. You have to visualize the results, achieve a conscious and unconscious pursuit of excellence, and live the reality of exceeding goals. All too often people dismiss something as "all in the head," but the fact is everything IS in our heads, and our behaviors both reflect and can influence this reality.

This elegant book explains this concept and more in an accessible way, and demonstrates just what its title promises: How to deliver. As an entrepreneur, there are few books I can point to that have provided as much helpful soul searching or business value as this one. I actually plan to re-read the book before a big presentation next month, one in which my livelihood and passion will be on stage for all the world to judge. Thankfully, the Matthews-Morgan team have just what the doctor ordered - a roadmap to performing my best when it counts the most. Thanks for writing this important addition to what was otherwise a faltering and gimmicky "self-help" genre.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read... December 21, 2012
By sw
Self-sabotage (often times through limiting thinking, and belief systems) has impacted many a potentially successful person's ultimate achievements. This book can help you to avoid, or at least recognize and redirect, the many ways we often talk ourselves out of going for more in life. If you're looking to improve your life in 2013 and beyond, a small and easy way to start is to get this book and read it now.
