3.0 out of 5 stars I wanted one song I couldn't find elsewhere
I love cheesy movies like this one, and I loved that song "Ain't no stoppin' sunshine" which I could never find available anywhere other than on this soundtrack. Worth it just to obtain that song, but there are some other quality songs on here too!

11. Looking For Love- Vikter Duplaix

12. You're All I Need To Get By- Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell

13. My Cherie Amour- Stevie Wonder. And now for the review....

I like the movie Deliver Us From Eva. Sure it was predictable but it was still enjoyable. The soundtrack is pretty good too with a few minor flaws.

Paradise is also on LL Cool J's Ten album and it was a cool single. I have heard three versions of More Than A Woman. I have heard the version with Angie Stone and Calvin Richardson, the version on this soundtrack with just Calvin Richardson only and a version with Angie Stone and Joe. All three versions are fine with me. Star For Life, Excuses, Two Way Street, and Lovin You are all great tracks. The Vikter Duplaix track, Looking For Love is nice and You All I Need To Get By and My Cherie Amour are classics.

The Usher song, She's Got the Part and Element's Show And Prove are soundtrack filler. Aint No Stopping Sunshine and More Than Friends are okay tracks.

In short Deliver Us From Eva is an enjoyable soundtrack recommended to those that like R&B and soul music.

Standouts:STAR FOR LIFE, LOVIN YOU(EASY), LOOKING FOR LOVE, MORE THAN A WOMAN, YOU'RE ALL I NEED TO GET BY, MY CHERIE AMOUR, EXCUSES AND TWO WAY STREET.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS CD!, July 11, 2003

I adore this CD, but really the only reason I adore the CD is because of the song "Ain't No Stoppin' Sunshine." It has become my morning theme song and the song whenever I feel downright cloudy inside! The CD is worth buying just for this song! Buy it and make track 5 your theme song and start believing in you!

I have been searching for the words to "Ain't no stoppin' sunshine", but I can not find it. Is there not an artist named Yoli? Can anyone help me? This movie and soundtrack is the best I've seen & heard since Brown Sugar.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just a little disappointed!, February 18, 2003

I must say that I truly enjoyed this soundtrack. But I was a little disappointed to get the CD home and find out that "This Very Moment" by K-Ci & Jo-Jo was not featured on the soundtrack. For those of you who have seen the movie, you know the song I am talking about. It is incredible. But as far as the CD is concerned, I would recommend it to anyone. If you have not seen the movie, PLEASE GO SEE IT!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

This CD is very nice. I actually purchased the CD for the Dandridge sisters theme song "Ain't No Stoppin Sunshine and fell in love with MJ Blige's "Star For Life", Calvin Richardson's "More Than a Woman, Terry Dexter's "Two Way Street, Element's "Show and Prove", LL Cool J's "Paradise" and you can't forget the classic "You're All I need To Get By and "My Cherie Amor". This is a MUST have soundtrack CD and don't forget to get the DVD.

the movie is a classic! the soundtrack is wonderful! my favorite songs are, of course, those by the legendary marvin gaye and stevie wonder. also, yoli's "ain't no stopping sunshine" and mary j. blige's "star for life" will be sung twenty years from now! overall, a wonderful soundtrack which matches the movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars How Could Everyone Forget?, March 8, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Deliver Us From Eva (Audio CD)
Firstly, this really is a great album and I would
definitely recommend it! However, after reading
the various reviews of the album, I am wondering
how could everyone forget to mention the artist
ELEMENT's song entitled, "Show and Prove"? It is
a phenomenal song and my favorite on the cd. I
don't know what label she's signed to, but I will
be looking out for some more material from her.
She sounds like the newest India.Arie/Lauryn Hill.
Other stellar songs are by Calvin Richardson and
Mary J.

D.S.
