FOX AFFAIR
Rogers and Anders are an inseparable pair of con men who pay off a wealthy industrialist by providing him with dim, beautiful women. These lovelies are easily scored off the street and outfitted with elegant gowns from a high-class boutique the duo has an arrangement with. There's one thing that Rogers and Anders haven't expected, though, and that's for their Hong Kong nemeses to dispatch a vicious assassin to the States for revenge! Luckily, they meet up with Felicity Fox a "gorgeous and naïve metermaid" who flunked out of the police academy, but can still hold her own when it comes to kung-fu fighting!!!

Blaxploitation film which focuses on rebel Chris Townes. Drifting from one menial job to another, where he finds resentment and eventually arrest, he finaly loses his apartment and leaves in a rage. Chris meets Mindy and saves her from the hands of a violent gang. To thank him she introduces him to a happier way of life. Then suddenly, this new world is shattered by the most horrific event in Chris's turbulent life which leads to a conclusion in which Chris must face his deepest fears.

Joey (1977) Deliver Us from Evil (USA (DVD)new title)
Overall, I still abhor Horace Jackson's direction and the photography - but you have to really love the Violent Blaxploitation melodramas of the '70's to watch this thing in its entirety today. I never wound up really caring about these characters in here, either. Maybe you have to be from the '70's to relate. The Fox Affair (1978) Couldn't watch this low-budget comedy, action-kung-fu fighting Movie. Even before the movie began, the imagery was disturbing. It was macabre, Hong Kong exploitation revulsion.
