I heard them for the first time when they kicked off the Milwaukee Area Technical College's Annual Walk Against Poverty, they donated their time as a quick acoustic set, played a couple of great songs from this CD, and a really nice cover of "Time after Time." Then I found out they're in town to do a benefit concert tomorrow for Leukemia research, so I really wanted to like them. I bought this CD from them, and it's a really good CD, some of the songs have some pretty deep lyrics, but for the most part it's rockin' alternative. The music reminds me a little of Eve 6, but the songs usually feature both a lead singer and a harmony singer and together they have a rather unique sound. I guess college rock depends on relationship issues and regrets, so take a listen to "Kissin your lips," and "Daddy's little girl."

This is a spectacular sophomore album from Quietdrive. It's refreshing to hear a band that doesn't follow the mainstream music, but rather creates their own rhythmic beats and rocking sounds. Plus, not only can they perform in a studio, but their live performances are equally, or if not, better. What other bands can throw in a violin and still rock it out?
