This is a great introduction to DSL. I didn't know there were so many different DSL technologies and how significant the differences were between them. The technology descriptions were detailed but easy to understand. The diagrams are not glamorous, but there are many and they really helped me understand this stuff. The applications section in this book is awesome! If you are in the broadband industry, this book is a must.

This book really explains DSL technologies in a language that is easy to comprehend. More importantly it also lists many applications and sizes market opportunities. Lots of very useful statistics. This simple book has generated several ideas which I hope to turn into business opportunities. I highly recommend it!

Reading through this book was an ease and a delight, if one can say that about a technology book. I'm amazed how the authors take a complicated technology and put it into words that even non-technological persons can understand. Delivering xDSL certainly gets my endorsement!

This book has helped me to clearly understand the DSL technologies and also the authors have nicely outlined many broadband applications and potential market sizes. I recommend that "Delivering XDSL" be the first book you buy and read on the subject, you won't need any other.

I have read and reviewed several DSL books in my career but never seen such a comphrehensive and easy to understand book on the subject. I have been intimately involved with a broadband CLEC for the past two years and can relate the importance of certain topics that the authors tried to cover in depth. I wish I had this book two years ago!!. Great job Mr. Harte and Mr. Kikta!

I would strongly recommend this book for any one trying to understand DSL technology, implementation as well as the applications.

The book is packed with information on broadband applications! It has an easy to read style. Not a page is wasted! An Excellent resource for telecom and IT professionals.

The authors do a pretty good job of summarizing the various DSL technlogies and list many applications-- which relate to market opportunities. It's a very good book on DSL, and should be very useful to hands-on engineers and well as telecom business professionals.

This book is the perfect explanation of complex technologies and applications of broadband. While the book is crammed with details (many statistics cited), the authors' tone and style make it easily digestible. You would be hard pressed to find this quality of information presented so readily elsewhere. There is something for everyone, from engineering, business development, marketing as well as for the investor -- all will gain valuable insights. This breadth is one of the considerations that makes "Delivering xDSL" so special. As a professional in this vibrant industry, I credit this book with helping round out my knowledge tremendously. I am confident it will serve you as well.

A very good primer for both technical and non-technical readers. Balances marketing and technical accounts of DSL technologies including features, costs, services and applications. The Applications chapter is worth the price of the book alone.

This is a well written and organized book. It covers the technologies and also gives excellent business perspectives, delivers a great deal of clarity in explaining the various DSL technologies and how they can be used (applications). The authorial insights throughout proved very helpful.
