I used this thing twice and it died. It blinks but does not charge.
It's a paper weight if you leave the dead batteries in it.

I must say this is one of the best charges on the market. Don't have to worry about the cumbersome powercord. Just plug it in the wall with the flip out prongs. Great for travel and people who don't like to carry more stuff than they have to. A little more pricer compared to others but the quality and performance makes up that downside.

This review is from: Delkin Devices DD/AA-QKCHGR-US AA/AAA International Quick Charger with Extended Power 2900mAh Rechargeable AA Batteries (Electronics)
This package (Delkin Devices DD/AA-QKCHGR-US) contains a Delkin International Quick Charger, plus four AA rechargeable NiMH cells rated '2900mAh'.
The charger is actually quite good - electrically, at least. It charges each cell individually, and has a total charging current of 2A. If you insert just one AA cell, it gets the full 2A of current (the back of the charger says 2.1A, but I measured 2A instead). If you put in two cells, each one gets half of the current, or 1A per cell. Similarly, for 3 AA cells it gives 660mA/cell, and 4 cells gives 500mA/cell. For AAA cells, all charging currents are reduced by half. One nice feature is that each charging channel has its own LED indicator light. That way, you can easily tell which cell has finished charging. All four indicators will blink if there is a problem with one of the cells (such as if you accidentally inserted an alkaline cell into the charger). Then you have to remove one cell at a time, to find out which one is the trouble maker. Mechanically, there is a problem with the charger: The contact for positive terminal does not provide enough grip for AA cells. So AA cells can easily pop out when you plug in the charger to a wall outlet. Batteries included in this package, on the other hand, is a big disappointment. The average capacity I measured is only 2500mAh (see my review on Delkin Devices DD/AA-4PK-R29 for details). So despite of the higher price, those so-called '2900mAh' Delkin batteries are no better than other regular NiMH cells (typically rated 2500-2700mAh). All in all, this is a reasonable package for the money - if you are willing to put up with rapid-self-discharge batteries. Personally, I prefer the Sony Cycle Energy BCG34HRE4KN Quick with Refresh Charger package, which contains a better charger and 4 low-self-discharge batteries.
