Finally found a lil stockpile at my local camera store (Kaimuki Camera) and picked it up for around $100. Yea its a only usb 2.0 but hey, its nice to plug in the cards and walk away. its bigger than i thought, like a half carton of cigarettes and i don't understand why because it seems empty inside...but works nice and saved my lots of time today...downloaded 12 cf cards in no time at all. If you can find it, get it!!!

UPDATED - Very cool device - a bit of information on it..., November 16, 2010
This review is from: Delkin Devices DDREADER-40 ImageRouter No Software US (Personal Computers)
After downloading from 5-6 memory cards after each outing, I decided to check this device out. I've seen it around but never could locate additional information on it.. hopefully if you're in the same situation this review will help.
The device itself is much lighter than I expected - I was expecting it to be heavy for some reason.. it's made of a light plastic and appears to be mostly empty space inside (considering that you can get the 43-in-1 readers the size of a USB drive, it's no surprise that a lot of the space inside is empty). It has a decent look to it as well - somewhat professional (especially compared to a lot of the readers geared either towards teenagers (bright colors/odd shapes) or people who just don't care about how it looks (square metal boxes that you plug a card into).
One thing you don't see in the photo is that it runs off AC Power - the power adapter is a bit bulky (depending on your power outlet, it may block 2-3 other outlets because of its shape -- it did for me!). The other connect is a USB - it's detachable and appears to be just a USB extension cable. It was a bit disappointing that it's USB 2.0 only and not Firewire or a faster connection. It's basically a USB hub with 4 CF readers connected (in a nice little package though).
The read/write speeds are under 30MB/sec - about 24-28 if I recall correctly. Since it's rated at UDMA speeds, it's a bit disappointing that it maxes out at these speeds.
Once you insert a card, a little blue LED glows next to it - this is a nice little touch. Each card mounts as a separate drive (so if you plug in 4, you'll see 4 CF cards). You can use software to automatically download these to a specific location or just use windows explorer to drag/drop to where you need them.
The ease makes it well worth it - being able to download 4 CF cards at once instead of one at a time, wait 15 minutes, start the next, etc.. If that ease is worth it to you, get this. I haven't seen anything else like it!
It can also be daisy-chained (2 max) to give you 8 CF slots.
Update 12/2/2010 - After a few days, the 4th CF slot stopped functioning - it reports an error whenever plugged into a computer (even a new computer that it hasn't been used with, eliminating the chance of a possible computer problem). This has caused me to lower the rating to 3 stars, based on the possible low quality of this product.
