5.0 out of 5 stars Delkin knows how to keep customers, April 20, 2009

I have this card in my Olympus E-420 and it works great (I've tried it with PQI, Sandisk and PNY SD and SDHC cards). The write speed is slower than straight to a CF card (Sandisk Extreme III) but it's still within 10 to 15 seconds (to transfer a 6 shot Raw+FineJpeg continuous burst).

The real reason I'm writing this review though, is that Delkin has amazing customer service. I wrote them an email asking about the slower transfer speeds and they wrote back with all the details of how transfer speeds are defined and realized in a particular camera/adapter/SD card setup. They made sure that I had all the info I needed and even offered to dig up some detailed specs on this particular card. This kind of customer service is VERY RARE in todays world and it was amazing to see. Pleasantly surprised.

I purchased this adapter to use with my Eye-Fi card, as it is an SD card and not compatible with my Canon Digital Rebel XTi. It does the trick, but sometimes it's a bit sluggish, although that could be the Eye-Fi's fault, too. Over all I'd say it doesn't cause a problem, but if someone has some benchmark testing that shows an adapter with a faster speed I'd probably buy one of those instead.

I have several camera. Most of the large Canons like the 40D or 5D use CF cards. My newer small cameras such as the Canon G 9 use the little postage stamp sized cards. I went on a trip to France and knew I would take a thousand pictures, so instead of getting more CF cards,I got this adapter which let me put the little cards into the big camera. It works great. Only two things should be of concern. Don't try to jam the adapter in the wrong way. You might bend one of the connector pins in the big camera. The little SC card goes in to the adapter at right angles to the socket. Also when reviewing your pictures on the camera screen, the images seem to come up a little slower.
