I'm very impressed with the Delkin pop-up shade for the D90. It installed in seconds, snapped firmly into place, and stays put well. All of the "pass-through" buttons feel great and work perfectly. I was a little worried about that aspect of this product's design, but the buttons do feel just like the ones on the camera itself. In bright sunlight (which we have plenty of in Phoenix, Arizona), this product makes it possible to get a much better look at the LCD screen to tell just how things are going on your shoot. This was well worth the investment, and with the addition of a battery grip for the D90, these 2 items have made my camera look, feel, and perform much more like a pro model. And if you ever plan to shoot video outdoors with your D90, this is certainly a must-have.

All my cameras have Delkin shades. The fit and function are near perfect. I've heard that the springs fly apart, I have 5 and have never had this problem, but I am not hard on equipment. If you are the instant review type,this product might drive you crazy, opening it after each shot. The only reason that I don't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't really do a great job in review in bright sunlight. BUT... here's a tip. If you are left eye dominate, (use your left eye to compose in the view finder), this product will negate the nasty nose print on the LCD!

Custom made to fit perfectly on the Nikon D-90. It shades the LCD screen to provide better viewing in sunlight. Easy to snap on or off.

I really do like this Pop Up Shade. I like the construction. It is well made and fits easily on the D90. All you have to do is remove the eyepiece and plastic LCD cover and it fits perfectly. The buttons function well. However, I tried it in the sunlight and it didn't help much. I still could not see the LCD very well. It didn't shield it at all. When taking pictures, you aren't able to see the picture on display unless you open the shade. It does open easily. The only problem is then you must close the shade to take another picture. With the shade open, you can't get your eye to the viewfinder. The shade blocks it. All in all, I like it, but it isn't worth the hassle of having to constantly open and close the shade. I took it off my camera and put the plastic cover back on. There you go. That's my opinion.

this is a nice little add-on - i already have a screen protector, so i was looking at this mostly for the shroud when shooting movies outside. the shroud is easy to get on and off while leaving the screen protector behind, and the pass-thru buttons work well and feel like factory. if you want to use the screen outdoors, its well worth the purchase.

The DND90-P is a really great product. Fits rather well and the eyecup cover can be taken off. The button extensions work correctly. Of course when you are taking pictures that you want to immediately see, it's best to take the contraption off because focusing through the viewfinder when it 'open' is difficult.

These guys made a high-quality product- but nothing works in strong sunlight- it's not their fault- they tried. I'd use it in mild sunlight conditions.

I've had this for my D90 for over 2 years now. I bought it as soon as I started using the camera. I can't imagine my D90 without it. Quality is great is every way. It shades and protects the LCD. It's a perfect product.

This product gives me GREAT peace of mind. Totally cool. That VERY nice screen on the back of my NIKON D90 now does not have to fight high desert conditions, getting smacked around in the mountains or any other direct threat. Installation is a breeze and all the buttons work like they should. The shade helps in bright sunlight conditions. I am very critical about in camera framing and frame through the viewfinder, then final check by looking at the well protected screen.

Pop-up shade helps especially when shooting under the sun and extra protection for my camera monitor.
