I don't see how this could be a useful camera for mounting to a bike.

I bought this camera to record our fraternity's sporting events. I wanted a camera
that could withstand impacts, water (and other liquids), and stand up to the rigors
of extreme sports. I also wanted a camera that would allow us to see what we were
filming so that we would be able to line up our shots. I picked this camera because
it's price and features seemed extremely good. For less than other cameras, it looked
like I would get everything I needed. It turns out that this camera is surprisingly
good, and is extremely capable and versatile.

Pros:
Compact: This camera is unbelievably lightweight. I feel like I could attach it or an
RC airplane and get good video without weighting down the machine. People did not
notice the weight when I attached the camera to their helmets or on handlebars.

Picture Quality: I used the 60FPS 720P video setting so that I could get awesome
slow motion video. The footage did not disappoint me, as the picture was clear and
vivid. The image has a great range of color, and the color reproduction seems to be
excellent. I used to film most of these sporting events and extreme events from the
sidelines using a Nikkon DSLR camera in video mode. The Delkin camera's image
quality is as good as the DSLR's video quality. The ISO seems to be great, as it got
fantastic results in the evening without too much nose.

Durability: It's hard to completely test the durability of one of these cameras, but it
strikes me as being extremely durable. The case is waterproof, dustproof, and shock
proof. It survived the human pyramid, a relay race, football POV, river rafting, and
some party shots without so much as a scratch.

sorry for the poor framing of the review video!! hhaha. anyway i picked up a wingman to take with me on the lake, the mountains and for motocross and anything else i may need a durable waterproof action camera. i took it to the driving range just because it is still a little cold for me to take it to the lake but too warm for snowboarding. anyway i really liked the simplicity of the unit. my friend brought a go pro to a golf course one day but between the two of us we werent able to figure it out. this is dummy proof!! the menus are plainly laid out and the two button operation is just my style. looking forward to playing around with this and would recommend to anyone looking for a simple unit. there are a ton of knick knack mounts that come with the camera giving you the ability to mount this thing to anything.

my one minor complaint is there is no on off switching capabilities on the watertight case.

I bought this in Feb 2012 on special, thinking I'd get a good deal for a decent camera. The only redeeming thing about it is the LCD screen, which is no longer needed as the GoPro Hero 3 series now has WiFi that will stream the video feed to your smartphone. Here are my main complaints:
First, I mounted it to my bike's handlebars and I could never get it fully tight. It kept bobbing up and down, never staying put. The GoPro system has much better mounting accessories that are actually secure.
Second, the video quality has much lower contrast than the GoPro Hero 3 White edition. It looks like someone rubbed Vaseline on the lens.
Third, the rolling shutter effect was downright awful. I don't see how this could be a useful camera for mounting to a bike.
I used to own the GoPro Wide, the old VGA resolution camera (480p). The video quality was on par with this one, but with better contrast and less rolling shutter.
Finally, the camera made this awful, annoying buzzing sound whenever the bike was in motion.
I'm going to pack this up and return it.

It's snazzier looking than the Go Pro Hero 2. So far I've used it under water to video my kids swimming and it came out smooth and seamless. I just stuck the Wingman into the water and pointed the camera at them.

Delkin gives you a ton of stuff with the camera and that's probably the best added value for the $199 price compared to Go Pro Hero 2, which is $299. Delkin doesn't give you the head strap (I want to use for first person POV when hiking) but included in the box are the hookups to attach to a Go Pro head strap. I found a head strap on Amazon for $15 and it fit nicely.

The camera has a zoom but it's not really that functional because the LCD screen is tiny and this kind of thing is for POV moving around, not getting lots of tight zoom shots (use a traditional HD camcorder for that). Also, underwater, if it is in the water-tight casing, you can roll video on and off, but you cannot toggle the master on-of switch. Supposedly the camera has a sleep mode if you are not recording for a while, but not sure about that. Also, what would be nice is if the record button beeped when it turned on. The LCD is so tiny that in sunlight you can barely see it so sometimes you can't tell if you are in record mode or not. Plus, if this is on my head strap (haven't tried yet), what if I lose track when I have it on record mode or not? I would have to take the strap off and squint real hard into the LCD screen to see if we're rolling.

Overall, I think the quality of the video is very good and at $199 with all the stuff you get (Go Pro Hero 2 - you have to buy an LCD adapter if you want an LCD screen) it's good value.
