4.0 out of 5 stars Still love my 30", January 24, 2007
This review is from: Dell 3007wfp 30" Widescreen LCD (Electronics)
I purchased the Dell over the Apple (always been a loyal Apple person...had 6 Macs to date) for use with my G5 for a few reasons.
1. The waiting time was next to nothing...the Dell people made everything so painless that it was being shipped the day after I placed the order, and was here in 3! Never my experience with Apple, especially my last purchase, a G5, it took almost a month!
2. The warranty! Dell gave me (I bought), a 5 year "accidental damage" warranty. In other words, if I drop it, they replace it, at least that's what is supposed to happen! LOL!
But anyway, I wanted a "bumper-to-bumper" on this thing. I got it soon after they just released the 30"s, and it was around $1500.

Oh, BTW, the picture is great, really, LOT's of realestate!
The only problem I have with it is the power button STINKS! I can see it going bad REAL soon, in fact, it acts up now, but beyond that, I LUV it!

The only reason I give this just 4 stars is the power button.

This monitor is simply excellent. We bought two for our small company, and plan to buy more. It enhances everything you do, and is great for graphic design, schematic capture, board layout, etc.

Our two monitors do not have the power button issue that the other user mentioned. Perhaps he is confused by the fact that it's a capacitance push-button. You don't press it, you simply place your finger over it.

Be sure that your graphics card can support this monitor at native resolution. The card needs to have enough umph, and a DVI-D dual link connector.
