This works great for my Dell Insipron 5100! I was a little worried that it wouldn't work and would be a waste of my money. It was a third of the price that Dell is charging for the same thing and I can't even tell the difference. It shipped very quickly and came earlier than I was expecting it. Awesome product!

I ordered the brand-new version of this adapter which was advertised as a genuine Dell product. There are lots of aftermarket adapters out there. Some are okay and others overheat or burn out completely. This was a true Dell product and it's working great for my trusty old Inspiron 8200.

Ordered the PA-9 as a replacement for the PA-9 AC Adapter that I used with my Dell Inspiron 5100. Everything looked to be the same. But when I started up my computer I discovered this AC Adapter is ONLY A 70 Watt supply.

If you, like me, need a 90 Watt AC Adapter - THIS IS NOT IT.

This IS a "Made in China" replacement, that doesn't say what its power output is. But it claims to be a "PA-9Family" AC Adapter with 20V and 4.5A output. It did come with a handy rip-tie for the cable that can be reused when it needs to be packed up. And the connection that plugs into the laptop has a nice and snug fit... it's not going to just slip out on its own.

Regarding shipping/handling. I ordered early Monday morning and paid for expedited S/H. It wasn't until Wednesday that I was able to discover that it shipped out late Tuesday afternoon via USPS. Thankfully, it was sent Priority Mail, so I actually received it on Thursday. (Post Office did a GREAT job of making it a Priority!) Expedited shipping should mean it at least goes out within 24 hours if not the same day. Especially when the order comes in early in the morning. If you're going to be slow in handling, don't make false offers of working faster.

Do not buy this based on visual description alone. It looks like the old PA-9 adapters that were compadible with the Dell inspiron 1100 laptops, but it isn't. It will cause the BIOS screen to appear when booting up.

What a great company with which to work. My computer/laptop is older, and when I received the first adapter the plug did not fit very well into the laptop portal. They sent me a second adapter with haste.
My IT son-in-law came to my rescue when the 2nd adapter also failed to fit into the portal. The bottom line was the adapter DID fit, and I could return the 2nd adapter.
The Triangle World people were absolutely wonderful to work with on all levels.
I would highly recommend this business to anyone who is need of computer equipment support.

This is an actual Dell product (new-old stock). I could easily tell by how heavy it was ans the quality of the wires/cords when compared to the cheap $5 AC adapters I have gone through (3 in one year). It has worked for one week so far with daily use at work and home. Stay away from the super cheap Chinese replacements, my last one melted, and had to take a razor blade to the plug to make it fit my laptop. No problems here.

I am cheap. I have tried at least two other cheaper powercords for this laptop that failed miserably. If I would have just bought this one right away, I would have been better off. Plugged it in and I was off and running.

WHEN I PURCHASED IT SAID IT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME BOUT 2-3 WKS AND IT CAME THE SAME WEEK WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. IT CAME RIGHT ON TIME WHEN I REALLY NEEDED THE LAPTOP. I REALLYYYYY APPRECIATE THE FAST SERVICE. I WILL DEFINETELY BUY FROM YOU AGAIN. ALSO, I BOUGHT THE CHARGER USED AND IT LOOKS BROWN NEW. THANKS THE PRICE WAS AWESOME.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop and this power supply has proven to be quite capable of producing the power requirements for my computer.

Bottom Line - It Works!!!

I own a local consulting firm and will only replace with OEM products. The others are less expensive for a reason. Get RAM-Tech.
