The item was advertised as followed:

- Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.20GHz
- 2GB DDR2 RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive
- Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate
- 22 in Dell Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse
- ATI Radeon HD3650

WRONG!!!

A few of the basics were there,

Yes - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.20GHz
Yes(+) - 2GB DDR2 RAM (Plus 2 more GBs)
No - 500GB Hard Drive - instead - (220 GB Hard Drive)
No - Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate - instead - (Window Vista 32)
No and Yes - 22 in Dell Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse - instead - (No monitor)
No - ATI Radeon HD3650 - instead - (An empty slot)

However the item did arrive a full day sooner than expected, so that was an added plus- in addition to the extra memory. And overall it's not too bad a machine to have to upgrade, for use as a spare computer. As I did need a spare. Just wish they had advertised the product more acurately.

I've had my dell 530 for three years. I have to say that I love it. The system restore and pc factory restore is great to have. This is my first and only pc. I haven't had to repair or replace any parts.I do take it apart every year to clean the inside. It is a vista, which I don't mind since I never used an xp. I don't think all my hardware will support window7, but I'm happy with my wista and will stay with that. I did buy this at walmart with a large screen, keybroad, mouse and speakers, which all still work. LOVE MY DELL

As one Reviewer stated; save your money and buy anything else. The Dell systems are ""Slow"". the hard drive goes very easily and the motherboard is very sensitive. I had a electrical power shut down by the utility company. The surge protector covered all my computers. The Dell junk power supply was not affected, but the hard drive went. Dell makes junk and charges more than is relevant for their systems. The computers are inconsistent in performance and support is poor on technical aspects; cannot answer technical questions. The Dell computers are mfg by different Chinese mfgs enhancing their lousy performance. In examining the electronic components of the failed Dell Inspiron 530 we found secondary parts being used that do not have sufficient electrical tolerances and should not be used in computer mfg. The Chinese are using substitute parts that do not pass first-time inspection. This included capacitors, resistors, ICDs, and even wiring harnesses! This in our opinion accounts for the Dell computer's inconsistent performance and very high sensitivity to AC cycles, surges, or start-ups. We found that start-up is like a heart attack for the Dell computers. It is best to leave them on or you will certainly reduce the lifetime of your Dell. However, if you leave the Dell computers on, you risk losing a motherboard or hard drive, or ?, due to a surge, since the components used cannot withstand any variations in electrical single or power. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I bought this model new from Dell back in 2007 and am still using it every day. It performs beautifully despite being almost 7 years old. The only problem that I had was that the video cards kept going bad. I finally gave up and now use the integrated graphics. I also upgraded from 2 GB RAM to 4 GB RAM but there was no noticeable difference in performance.

Make sure to read and take to heart the review posted by "Kervin Abbott" who actually purchased the computer used from the Amazon Marketplace. He pointed out that the PC that he received did not match the description. My PC from the factory came with a Core 2 Duo, 2.33 Ghz processor, 300 GB hard drive, 2 GB RAM, Vista 32 bit operating system ("Vista Home Premium), and I paid extra for the video card (it comes with integrated graphics).

I bought this computer about a year and half ago because it was very reasonably priced for all it had to offer. Between my finance using it for online classes to get his MBA and me using it for work, this computer is constantly being used and needed on a daily basis. We are completely dependent on it and have not been let down. This has been a great computer and we have yet to have run into any issues with its functionality.

I was looking for a replacement since my Dell that was damaged by lightning. This is the same model but not the same motherboard as mine so it won't work for that, however for the money it will be useful so I'm happy with my purchase. The seller was very good and replaced the monitor when it arrived damaged. My only recommendation is that the buyer email and find out all of the details about the computer before purchasing as the description is too general and not specific to the model being sold.

Alrighty, I've seen some reviews by alot of users, and I think it's about time I said something about it.

For starters, I've had this computer for almost six years (since almost the first release of the model). It hasn't caused me much grief at all. The only issues I would say I had was that it's first OS was Vista (rectified this by buying Win 7 - Ult), the 512 MB of RAM (fixed this buy buying 4 x 1 GB of RAM), and (fairly recently) my HDD started to fail (A WD product - 80GB - luckily I had everything backed up and purchased a 500 GB HDD by Seagate). For a budget computer, this computer has performed nicely. I've upgraded the graphics card as well (ATI Radeon 4650 - 1 GB) and will be upgrading the CPU to the E8600 Dual Core [the highest it can go based on the most recent BIOs update] However, the computer was released with two different motherboards. The other motherboard had Quad Core technology.

So for having a computer for this long considering that the computer industry is always evolving and changing, this puppy has been keeping up.

However, if you want a good computer with graphics capable of online gaming, this might not be the one for you unless you fork over some bucks to keep making upgrades. Personally though, I love this computer.
