i have been looking for a computer for about 2 weeks and almost all the ones i have found r more powerful then this computer and over half of them cost less! do not i repeat DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER IT [...] BUY A DIMENSION 4600 ATLEAST OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!

I purchased this computer on August 5th and it came in on August 11th. It did not work. I contacted Dell and they told me I needed more memory, even though this computer should have had enough memory. They refused to send it to me and I was forced to purchase more memory on my own. The computer still did not work correctly I was hit by Hurricane Charley and was without power for a week, followed in six weeks' time by Hurricanes Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. These hurricanes left me without power and internet connection for a total of almost four weeks. When I finally got to the point where I could deal with this computer again, I contacted Dell to return it. They refused to allow me to return it because I hadn't returned it within their 15-day time period. I explained what happened with the hurricanes and they still refused to grant an exception. I am now stuck with a computer that does not work. Please do not purchase a Dell computer. You will have nothing but headaches.

On July, I replaced my P1 200 Mhz PC with a Dell Deminsion 2400. I got this PC for the Sims 2, but that PC was not powerful enough, so I had to go to Fry's Electronics to buy a new motherboard, etc.. Upgrading was not easy. Whatever you do, do not buy!! Get an XPS, or get a different brand.

I bought this PC rite from the Dell warehouse. it is awesome!
i have the Dell 2400 w/ the memory upgrade (50.00 more) Plus Windows XP Home edition. This PC has helped me with downloading Music, Pictures from my camera, and also watching Live streaming videos (With DSL) with crystal clear picture. the PC has still not slowed slowed down at all, and i already have 50 songs and 150 pictures including a 50 mb Ipod shuffle..(that takes up alot) and its still not any slower! the PC came with:
100 GB and i still have 75.0 GB! WOW... and i also have Sims 2 and other games installed, so this pc is working wonders! i would recemend this to anyone who has DSL/Cable or a good Dial-Up... this pc has a great Video card, and needs no upgrade when it arrives

My experience with Dell has been unsatisfactory in every way. I purchased this product a year ago; it was delivered with a faulty switch--a problem endemic to Dell computers.

I returned the machine and exchanged it for a new one only to find that the second machine was also defective--besides for being a retrofitted device, not a new computer.

Each time I called customer service, it took upwards of an hour, sometimes two. I would have to wait more than 45 minutes for a representative, before (usually) being switched to another department, and often, yet another.

In the end, I returned the machine within the 15 day period allowed. But I lost hours and hours of my valuable time. I have determined never again to buy a Dell PC.
