It is a big TN screen and some of the viewing angels are not the best, but nothing major.

The line constantly goes down, forcing me into another 20 to 30 minutes of wait-time just to rinse and repeat the cycle above.

I paid a lot of money for it 3 years ago and I'm not happy with the quality or service I have received from Dell.

Keep in mind you are getting a bare bones monitor. No bells and whistles here. But then again you are not paying for all the extras. If that is want you want than look elsewhere.
This is good value in my opinion. Colors are nice and clarity is good. The factory settings are rather poor and it took me a few days to get it dialed in. At first I really let down but after getting things set to my liking I am more than happy. It is a big TN screen and some of the viewing angels are not the best, but nothing major. I use this screen for day to day internet browsing viewing DVDs and gaming. Gaming and DVDS have been a delight with the big screen. Basic set up is very easy but as I have stated before it will take some time to get it tuned in.
You have to evaluate what you plan to use this screen for. If you need ultra high quality color reproduction and super sharp images you will need to fork out a few more hundred dollars. If you are OK with
just above average quality and no bells and whistles this one is all you.

I used to own two 22-inch widescreen monitors (Viewsonic, Westinghouse) within a year before this Dell monitor surfaced on the market. As with the Dells's other two levels up monitors, I thought this one would too come with a Portrait position tilting feature. It does not. This is only my misgiving about this device!

Other than that this monitor gives out fantastic display! A display is crisp, clear, and vivid, as a good as Sony 46-inch Bravia LCD TV--and, to my pleasant surprise, this monitor consumes less energy than other two 22" monitors I used to own. Moreover, my computer used to have problem with a sleep-mode feature and noisier. This Dell monitor took care of both for some reason. I recommend it HIGHLY!

It is a great product considering its price. Wonderful image and sharp colors, big size 24" widescreen, perfect for working with many windows open, full HD support and cool design that fits great with my Mac computer and my desk.

It is not a top range product and does not aim for professional designers. It doesn't have features like many inputs, integrated hubs, speakers etc. nor does it have an advanced technology panel like IPS or PVA. It is a single TN panel. That's why it is so cheap. But if you are not a professional graphic designer and you do not mind about accurate color reproduction, you will not get disappointed as image quality is still amazing. If you are thinking about buying with the same money a smaller monitor with more features, do not do it!! Sizes matters as well as full HD resolution. As I said, it's really a monitor worth to buy it, ideal for both working and gaming.

This was my first LCD purchase after my CRT died on me. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light this display is. I could probably lift it with one hand, making it very easy to setup and install. The other thing I noticed is how solid the stand is. A few of the other displays I considered had cheap flimsy looking stands. This one tilts without feeling like it's going to fall over.

This particular model has an anti-glare screen instead of the popular high-gloss finish. I know this is a matter of personal preference, but I find the reflections in high-gloss screens distracting.

The display itself is very bright with vivid colors. The native 1920x1200 resolution looks absolutely amazing. I would strongly recommend using the DVI connector if your video card supports it. The analog connection can make text a little fuzzy.

The only thing that makes this a 4-star monitor instead of 5, is that there is no USB hub built in. At this price though, I think it's a great buy.

I've had this monitor for about 3 years. It started having problems at about 2 years. It started with one quarter inch think vertical line and now has hundreds of them. They aren't dead pixels. They are almost like tiny bands of film over the monitor that makes the colors lighten. They are almost like smears. I've tried everything to make sure it is the monitor and not the computer or video card. The smears do not move with the picture. They are stationary on the LCD screen, even when changing resolutions. I think it's just one color that is having the problem, unfortunately that one color is affecting everything. I read somewhere that it could be delamination of the screen, but I have no idea if that's correct or not.
I did a ton of research and contacted Dell but eventually hung up on them because I was ready to murder someone because their "Tech Support" was so frustrating.
I would NOT recommend this monitor to anyone. I paid a lot of money for it 3 years ago and I'm not happy with the quality or service I have received from Dell.
