I bought this as a replacement battery for my Latitude 131L laptop. I am a graphic designer so battery lifespan is very important to me being as my computer is my office. this battery worked fine at first but now just 1 year later of normal use the battery has gone dead. and I'm having trouble replacing it seems there isn't a decent batteries out there for my computer that's worth the money.

frustrated.

This battery is not completely compatible with the Vostro 1000, do not purchase for it.

I couldn't believe it yesterday when my wife told me her battery was dying again. It didn't seem that long since I had replaced it and looking up my old order I see this was purchase Mid Jan. This system is run most of the time off of the wall plug and I calculate over the last six months the battery has been drained once a week. It is now June, six months and at most 50 power cycles and this thing has dropped to 1/4 its original run time.

I would highly recommend spending a little extra to get one with a warranty. That's my current plan!
