This laptop has only Intel HD Graphics 3000 that is not suitable for 3D games (this does not affect my rating because it is expected of Intel graphics from the spec). I get only 10- fps on a game I play vs. 30+ on my Acer 4830TG-6450 with NVIDIA GT540M (which is the biggest upside for me with the Acer). Other than that, it is pretty good. It has good speakers (which is the biggest downside for me with the Acer), good microphone, quiet and light. It feels robust when using it. It does not have analog VGA connector, but has a mini-displayport that can be connected to analog VGA via a mini-displayport to VGA adaptor ($10). It has HDMI also. The battery life is quite good. The ports on the left and right sides are near the backside, which I like (Acer has ports near the front, which I don't like). The ports have covers which is a little hassle to me. I also like that it has 2 USB3.0 ports (vs. Acer's one only) which can be used to copy between 2 HDDs in faster speed. The touch pad buttons need extra force to push but soon I got used to it and no longer bothers. The color is dark brown with wood like patterns which is nice. It does not feel flaky or cheaply designed, unlike the Acer.

I have been having a nightmare with this computer and Dell Company. Computer freezes almost once a day, yet Dell tells me it is a software issue. We have tried restoring etc. But does not work. Tried for a refund but they repeatedly told me they had fixed the problem. No, it still has problems. Now they say the time period has expired. It has been 23 days since they shipped it, but only 15 days I have owned the computer. I spent over 5 hours on the phone with Dell today, and been hung up on 4 times. I will not ever buy from Dell again.

This machine has a solid, all metal construction, with the only plastic being the keys and the bezel surrounding the screen. It is quite fast with a 2nd gen core i5 CPU. Keyboard is one of the best I've ever used, compared with Lenovo thinkpad T420. Very satisfied with the screen is bright and clear. Highly recommended!
