It's always difficult to review a PC because different people have different needs and expectations. I will break down what this PC has and hopefully answer questions that you may have when considering this PC. My rating is based on similar pre-built PCs that are comparable in price.

First let's discuss the PC itself. The 2320 boasts a beautiful 23 inch LED touch screen. Colors are rich and sharp. The contrast is the quality you would expect from a quality LED monitor with bright whites and black blacks. The screen is very large and leaves little to be desired. There are three inputs in the back of the monitor, HDMI, Composite Video and VGA. There is also an optical in for your audio. The advantage here is that your stunning 23 inch LED can be used as a monitor for your Blu-Ray/DVD/Game system/Laptop/PC. Want to hook up your PS3, 360 or Wii so you're not holding the TV hostage from the rest of your family during gaming marathons? Not a problem, plug it into the back and use the one-touch input selection button on the side of the monitor and you're good to go. The PC itself is weighty, around 20 pounds, but consider that your other option is a stand-alone case and monitor or a laptop and it's not much of an issue. It's light enough to take with you to a LAN party or on a lengthy vacation, but heavy enough to stay in place on the desk. The attached "leg" on the back has multiple positions for different viewing angles. It can also be mounted on a wall. The wireless keyboard and mouse are very responsive and good quality. The only issue I have is that the click buttons on the mouse are a little sensitive, so when holding and dragging sometimes it would deselect if I didn't maintain absolute pressure. Not a major deal but a concern nonetheless.

Taking this computer out of the box, you immediately realize you've entered the next generation of computing. First, the setup is a breeze, and there is only one cord to hook up (yes, that's right, one!), the power cord that plugs into the wall. You pop the batteries into the mouse and the keyboard, plug in the little USB fob to wirelessly connect the two to the CPU, and you're up and running. The HD screen is beautiful. It has 1900 x 1080 resolution, giving a really bright, crisp, and clean picture. And then there's the touch screen. This Dell has a easy-to-use touch screen, much like most of us are getting used to with phones, MP3 players, and almost everywhere else. And it only makes sense to have it in a computer. It basically makes the mouse a relic, though I certainly see continued uses for the mouse depending on your application. But the touch is really easy to get used to. Windows 7 is ready for touch screens, and even offers a touch keyboard, so you can use this computer completely without mouse or keyboard if you wanted. And for a lot of things, especially those that don't require a lot of typing, it easily could be used that way. Plus there are some added touch features integrated into Windows 7, such as scrolling, zooming with two fingers, holding to "right click," shaking a window to reduce all of the others, etc. Most of the can be done with a mouse too, but they really show how the touch can be integrated into the user experience. I look forward to seeing where apps go as touch becomes more prominent.

This Inspirion io2320 has 4GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, and an i3 Intel processor, making it fast, ready to take on even graphic-heavy applications. And it's got bluetooth and a wireless modem, so there truly is only one cord plugged into the machine most of the time.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
For the past few years, the trend has moved from desktop computers to portable devices such as smart phones, tablets, IPods, and thinner and smaller laptops. That movement provides greater access to information and makes communication more immediate, but I've never been as comfortable with those devices as with a desktop computer, even though one of my current desktops is 4 years old and the one that died last year was approaching the status of the Methuselah tree in the computer realm.

I was lucky enough to get this Dell Inspiron io2320-2678MS Desktop and am floored by its performance. I admit that I am not a techie or a gamer, and I cannot comment on the inner workings of this machine or how well it stacks up against similar models with the authority of those who are.

But I can offer this perspective: this Inspiron performs far above my expectations at this price range. It does everything I've tried quickly and effectively. For instance, I did not expect it to stream video from Netflix or Amazon as smoothly and seamlessly as it does---no lags or jittery images. File access is rapid, multitasking does not slow it down, and the Windows platform mostly does what it should without thrusting itself into the mix.

The machine itself looks modern, and the display is crisp, lively, and vivid. I like the idea of having the freedom to wall mount this PC even though mine is set up in a converted TV armoire, and the wireless mouse and keyboard both operate smoothly, though I have to note this is not my favorite keyboard.
