I found that repeatedly I'd hit a key and nothing would happen because I didn't press hard enough.

I don’t understand any complaints about this product. I have used 4 of these sets with various laptops, tablets, computers, and my Samsung TV. One keyboard failed after 4 years, but the others are still going strong. If you think the keys are hard to push, you need to do some exercise. Also, you can use multiple units at the same time and they do not interfere with each other. It is a standard USB plugin, but it can also be used in a USB 3 port.

Nice keyboard and mouse.

One simple improvement that could be made, is clearer labeling of the on / off position of the switches so that those of us with declining eyesight could more easily see which way is on vs off without having to put glasses on :-) A simple white (to contrast with the black material) 0 / 1 would suffice, and I've added that myself.

I purchased this keyboard because I accidentally spilled water on the one that came with my computer (I had only had it for about a year). I liked the feel of the old keyboard but could not find it in a regular version with the cord on here or on the dell site so I cringed and forked out the $40 for this wireless version/mouse. I still like the feel and size of the keyboard but I've found that both the mouse and the board have delay/glitch issues every once in a while. Sometimes the mouse will decide to scroll down through pages without me doing anything and it is almost too sensitive (one little move sends the cursor all the way across the screen sometimes...but that could be because I'm used to a less sensitive mouse). Every once in a while the keyboard will decide to start skipping letters as I'm typing (I've had to stop and work out kinks in this review several times) and when I go back to fix the issue the computer will finally catch up and throw random letters or spaces in. It doesn't happen all the time (generally closer to evening when they've been on all day) so I still gave them 3 stars but it's very annoying when it does occur. I'm a writer and I do most of my writing in the evening so...it can be an issue. I'm going to try and do a lot of typing during the day and see if the same issues arise.

Update (just over a month after purchase): The delay/glitch problem was getting worse and worse (there were times I had to give up typing because the letters would keep repeating or one press of delete would eventually erase a couple of words) especially in the later hours for some reason. I finally decided to try moving the usb from one of the back ports on my computer to one on the very front of the tower.

hello! i have been buying dell product for a long time and this is a good one! i love this keyboard! it is very light and thin but it has all that you would need like volume control keys such as mute, volume down and volume up. and also for music or video. back, pause and skip! and what i find the best is the computer sleep button that is a moon. and for people that have windows 7 laptop or desktop this WILL work for you tho the windows key is the new windows 8 logo it still does work with windows 7!!i have tested this on my dell precision-m3800 which came with windows 8 but i have downgraded to windows 7 pro and the keyboard and mouse have worked fine and i am using this for my dell xps 27 which has windows 8.1 pro and the keyboard and mouse also worked fine! now to the mouse!!!! i like the way the mouse is setup by me saying "setup" is how easy it is to remove the battery cover the top of the mouse comes off and you can change the battery's ( 2 aa ) and to place the dell branded usb dongle that has a little slot for it so you can keep it safe and so it will not become lost! my only concern for the mouse it that like old wired usb mouses it has that very bright red led light ( and please do not be stupid like i was by looking straight in to the red light yes it is bright!) that i can see to be not too efficient with the 2 aa battery that it needs to operate. but i do not know i have only used this keyboard and mouse combo for 7 days and i have not needed to replace the battery yet! ( FYI the keyboard and mouse combo by dell comes with 4 original equipment accessory duracell pile alcaline duralock batteries! yes that was a mouth full!) thank you for reading my review more coming soon! thank you and have a great day ahead!

5 stars for the keyboard. Very touch sensitive, easy to read. The letters were worn off the one that came with the computer so this was a great replacement. The mouse is a bit stiff, less touch sensitive. Since I tend to rest my hand on the mouse a lot, this is not necessarily a bad thing for me. My old mouse hand the ability to enlarge the writing on the screen and this one doesn't. I miss that but al in all I'm quite satisfied.

Its a very nice basic keyboard. I have three computers hooked up to my TV and was switching my keyboard depending which mach I brought up. This is a nice inexpensive solution. Again, nice, simple, straight forward, compact keyboard.

The mouse is very nice, and I'd give it five stars. I especially like the way the top shell covering the batteries is magnetically attached.

The keyboard, however, sits in a closet. It's so bad I went back to a wired keyboard. How is it bad, you ask? The keys have very shallow travel and take a lot of force to push. I found that repeatedly I'd hit a key and nothing would happen because I didn't press hard enough.

With a full size keyboard, there's no reason to restrict travel. Laptops need to be thin, so in those cases I understand. However, I've typed on laptops from HP, Dell, Toshiba and Lenovo and on every single one the typing experience is far better. I've also heavily used the Microsoft Wedge portable keyboard, which by necessity is small with shallow travel; it, too is far better than this.

Buy the mouse, chuck the keyboard.
