This item is not at all as it was described. The description says, "Dell Optiplex Gx620 Desktop 3.0GHz CPU (LGA 775 800FSB-2MB Cache) 64 Bit Technology, Ultra Powerful CPU, 2GB DDR2 Memory, Super Fast 160GB SATA HDD, Intregrated Nic/Audio, Wireless Capable, Dell XP Professional Restore Disk Included."

The system I received is in fact a Dell Optiplex 620, but it has a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 (which is not 64-bit capable), 32-bit Windows XP, only 1GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, no wireless, and no restore disk. There was a loose screw rolling around in the case.

When you buy a refurbished computer from Dell, it comes in a Dell box and includes everything that comes with a new computer. This computer was packed loose in a box with no keyboard or mouse, not even a power cord.

I think this computer is used, not refurbished.

Let's have some truth in advertising.

Oh yeah, and it got sent to the wrong house. Can anyone say incompetence?

I had a PC, family machine for e-mail, kid-duty games, with a nice old HP laserjet that won't run with a Windows 7 environment. The motherboard fried. I needed a replacement XP machine.
This used Dell Optiplex with XP was a screamer a few years ago; it runs all the typical MS 2007 applications very fast. It also has plenty of USB ports, which is necessary:
The Dell Optiplex is a small form-factor box, additional boards for wireless networking, etc. don't fit, but no matter just plug in a new wireless NIC into a USB port like a thumb drive. I run the old hard drive in a box that ALSO plugs into a USB port. Systems integration: done.
The company that provided it did a nice cleaning and packaging job, shipper just left it on the grass, but again for $200 I'm very happy.

If you look in the product specifications you can see that this is a pentium 4 not a dual core:

Processor Brand: Intel Processor Type: Intel Pentium 4 HT
Processor Speed: 3.2

To see what Intel says:

Look CLOSE at the specs before you buy

I chose this seller partly based on his rating. But I have been miserable with this purchase since day one.

It runs so loudly, I cannot HEAR video. It COULD be related to the cheap-a$$ video chips. This one contains the worthless Intel chipset. It is incompatible with SIMS 3! I don't know if adding a video card will resolve the noise or not. ..

I shouldn't be going through this. I will never order from this seller again. It may be the last time I order refurbished electronics via amazon.

I will now be filing a claim. The seller's information indicates a 90 warranty AND includes TECHNICAL SUPPORT. They do not have technical support. They have an answering machine.

Very fast! A good upgrade from my old dell dimension 3000 which took 3 hours to load up before being able to do anything. This starts up and takes literally 10 seconds before doing many tasks at once. EZ buy Cafe did a good job restoring it, and even shipped it free and the shipping was fast.

I installed Microsoft Office 2010, Norton 2011 antivirus, and all the good stuff and man this thing is really fast.
This is the best 245 bucks I've ever spent.

The item was as described, and I checked and it the specs are accurate. Only difference is that the computer I have is 150gb instead of 120gb sata hard drive which is better than described.
The item came packaged well, no complaints whatsoever.
I plan on buying again from this seller.

*keep in mind, this is the PC version of the dell optiplex 745, NOT the slower small form factor tower. The small form factor one is slow with 2.13 ghz and we have those at my college and at work.
The small form factor optiplex 745 is not the same as this, being the PC version which is 2x the size and much faster.

I bought this PC because I wanted to experiment with putting Linux Ubuntu alongside Windows XP in a dual boot computer. I didn't want to risk this on my main PC so I bought this PC from EZbuycafe. The PC arrived well packed with keyboard, mouse and power cord. Everthing worked great and it was very clean. I checked out the CDROM / USB drives and they worked fine. It came with Firefox installed and I had no problems connecting to the internet. I checked the reported hardware against the advertised spec and it was as advertised. I had burned a Ubuntu ISO ( Ubuntu 11.10 'Oneiric Ocelot' ) onto a CDROM previously on a different PC. I put this in the PC and booted from disk (using F12 key during start up boot sequence). I split the 160GB hard drive evenly between Windows XP and Ubuntu during the installation. Everthing went great and I ended up with what I wanted. I turn on my PC now and it boots straight to Ubuntu by default but I have the option on power-up of switching to Windows XP if I want. I am delighted with my purchase.

To the previous reviewer, you should have your IT person find out what's wrong with your installation. I bought a GX620 from this seller for my son mainly because it supports gamer video cards. But he's had no need to replace the onboard graphics so far. The computer has been completely reliable and fast. Of course he would never run honey pots like IE or Outlook but if they are slow on your box then it's probably something about your network, like launching apps or accessing personal data from an overburdened file server. Dell's business computers (including the GX620) may not be brick-solid but they are better made and more reliable than most consumer PCs.
