I bought this computer as an early Christmas gift for my daughter. Aside from a few cosmetic flaws the computer worked fine for about 2 months. It now overheats, the fan constantly runs and it totally shuts down every 20 minutes. I first wrote a decent review on this product but I spoke too soon. I contacted the seller about the problems and their reply was that nothing could be done since it was outside the 30 day warranty. Ok, my bad. 30 days? This item is a piece of junk. You would do better to go to the big box store and get something much nicer and reliable for the same price!! I currently own a computer purchased at a big box store for approximately the same price and IT STILL WORKS AFTER 6 YEARS!!! So the way I figure it is that I rented this computer for about $100 a month. It's just an expensive paperweight now. Trust me, don't fall for the favorable reviews or the "helpful" customer service. This merchant is a rip off and sells defective products. I realize that I took a chance buying something refurbished with a 30 day warranty, but the computer was still a little pricey. Stay far away from this merchant and their products. I learned the hard way. They got their money. My daughter has a useless machine. Don't make the same mistake I did. Save yourself money and aggravation and get something reliable. Look elsewhere.

While the computer came timely, the unit was defective and was returned and I received a refund for my purchase only.....not for the return shipping....considering that I paid over $80.00 via UPS to have it returned, I was disappointed that I did not receive a refund for the shipping.

I had to send my computer back baccause it was scratched.I did not hear anything back and hastily typed in an awful review.Greg,the manager called me back and gave me a full refund.He was very friendly and prompt,an honest company with great customer service,Lisa Scurlock

I like this computer a lot. I use the same model at work and this Dell is a workhorse (I work at a large company and some of the computers we use are shared and used 16 or more hours a day by people on opposite shifts). It meets my expectations and is a great price. I haven't noticed any problems yet that would be attributable to the fact it is refurbished. The only thing I can say that is negative is that the version I got came with a new mouse, keyboard and speakers, and they were pretty cheap brands and quality. I think I would have preferred to get a used/refurbished keyboard and mouse of a better quality. One reviewer said he had got a dell keyboard and I was hoping I would wind up with a Dell keyboard as well. I just stuck with my old mouse, but the keyboard I had previously was not a USB keyboard and the Optiplex only supports USB keyboards and does not have a DIN connector plug. The monitor and computer are great, the extras are good for backup parts, and getting the windows CD is nice.

IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO WASTE, THIS IS THE PRODUCT FOR YOU!! Please pay attention and READ THE REVIEWS on this. DO NOT PURCHASE. I had read the reviews before my purchase but took the chance and bought anyway because I have never had a bad experience with dealers from Amazon. The deal was really great but you really do get what you pay for. The LCD flat screen Monitor was checked upon arrival and it powered on once. It wasn't until past the 30 days warranty period that it was used exclusively and it didn't work the second time. Monitor is worthless and outside of the warranty period (- $149.00). Upon arrival, the DVD was not working and that had to be fixed before I could proceed with my business.

Three months later, my computer is down! I have to purchase a Power Supply (- $60) and I am out of work until the part arrives. Don't count on anything but an auto reply saying that you are out of warranty if something goes wrong AND IT WILL! I wonder how Ms. Nora in customer service lays her head down at night knowing she is helping rip people off?

DON'T BUY DON'T BUY!! I have never had so many problems with a computer before. I have never had a computer set me back so BAD! I have lost undetermined amount of money and will have to purchase a new computer to assure that I am not put in this situation again.

While my work computer is down, I will make sure to use my time wisely and get reviews for this product at the top of all search engines and any crack or crevice that I can find.

I couldn't be happier! This "refurbished" PC does everything promised. It delivers speed and has opened my computing horizons along with the addition of a new Satellite system. I don't give a dang about cosmetics what matters is function! This system is worth a great deal more than I paid for it. My highest recommendation!

Please never ever buy from them; If you do you will be the proud owner of a $409.00 door stop as that ia all it can be used for!!!!! I write this on a laptop 3 yrs old that I bought from a walk-into store!!!!

I was skeptical buying a used desktop as I was concerened it would be too slow or have problems. But after using it for 3 weeks at home my wife and I have been very pleased. It's plenty fast for our use and it has a huge hard drive that will be hard to fill. All the components work great, the screen looks great and we have had no problems. I would buy this all over again without hesitation.

I received this system as a gift about six months ago and I have not had any unexpected abnormal problems with it since that time. The speakers that come with this sytem were super crappy but everything else has exceeded my expectations. The speed on this system is superior to any system I have ever owned, but I am most happy about being able to get a system with xp installed instead of having vista shoved down my throat!

I got this about 2 weeks ago and so far it runs increadibly well. Great product.
