I got one of these Dell's from the seller A Computer For Everybody. At first I was concerned with the other review but after reading the sellers feedback from other buyers, I decided to go for it. It arrived fast and worked right out of the box. I had a question about the restore CD and Customer Service was quick and answered my question. I would definitely recommend this computer to a friend.

Look, this isn't a computer for someone who wants to look hip or cool. It's a tool, and it does a great job, and it's reliable. If someone would have told me back in 1990 that I could someday buy a computer that had the power and speed of this desktop .... FOR ONLY $250!!!! .... I would have thought they were dreaming. I bought it for my son, who uses it for school and stuff, but we adults use it a lot, too. It's great for internet, great for listening to music (cheap speakers, but I'm not picky), and great for doing bills and stuff with. A great all-around family computer that is built like a tank.

This Dell Super Fast Optiplex computer is nice. It runs well and it was easy to hook up myself. The one thing that confuses me is the Big 40 GB Hard drive. The word Big is what I don't get. It is small. I don 't know how much it holds. The LCD Flat Panel Monitor is great. The mouse is nice the keyboard is nice. The speakers are not very expensive. They sound rough, cracky. I paid for what I got. It was not too expensive and it works and I am happy with it. I hope to someday get a bigger Hard Drive.

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.

My first review was only one star, as it seemed the CoA key was invalid (per the recipient, my mother, who is a senior and 2000 miles away). I contacted the seller by phone (voicemail) and email, to be told the next day from Nora that someone had already rectified the situation.

Uh, no.

When I found out from my mother that no one had contacted her, I submitted a second email demanding someone actually call her to figure out the problem and solve it. Second time's a charm...and the problem turned out to be illegible numbers too small for someone with poor eyesight to read.

Once that was squared away, the computer worked fine, and everything is perfect with the minor exception of a faded "E" on the keyboard.

I've read at least a hundred reviews for this seller, and a running theme is disappointment at calling the Customer Service line and only getting voicemail. A live person would be SO much better for the frayed nerves of the customers.

My computer has completely stopped working i had the computer only for 4months. The owners have ignored all of my calls and i have even e-mailed them.(Joe& Josh)Do not waste your money with this company trust me it is not worth the headache... two months after having the computer the hardrive tore up and i had to pay to send the computer off to them. When i recieved it back almost two weeks later the graphics card was missing from the computer, when i called and told them about this they told me "I sent the computer to them that way"? I couldn't believe what i was hearing! The guy Joe promised to call me back the following day and that was over a month ago... Please spend your money else where.

The computer is so old it has an area for a floppy! Its slower that heck. The monitor has lines going down the center of it & I have yet to receive my call tag...2nd attempt was done now a 3rd call must be made:(

Product wasn't exactly as described. Randomly shut down then after 9 months completely stopped working. After paying to have the computer analyzed we where told the motherboard was 8 years old, much older than we where told when we purchased it. Although the reply to my e-mail was polite was not only not helpful but basically said it was my responsibility to fix. I was willing to fix it but thought maybe they would offer some assistance or partial refund. I will not be recommending or purchasing anything in the future from 199 Computer Store.

I would reccomend amazon products to anyone because usually you get great deals on this wonderful website. Occasionally, you get something bad. The dell computer is a fine machine if you are able to maintain it yourself. I would caution people away from purchasing refurbished or used computers on here though because amazon apparently is not aware of its sellers products. If you want a computer that needs cleaned out before it will run correctly, then this is the place for you. If you are going to purchase one of these computers, I reccomend having an external cd rom drive and extra usb port extensions as alot of the physical tower will probably not work. Cd rom will not open, you will be playing around all 7 of the usb ports trying to find the 3 of them that actually work correctly, chances are, this is what is in store for you. I at least can provide the seller to advoid, thewarehousemill.

I would NOT recommond this computer to anyone it is low frezze and sounds like a plane takeing off and landing this it not cool to hear while you are sleeping. Do not bye this computer look for somthing better it is not wroth getting this computer i hate it everyday i give it to my brother and i got somthing better

I was a little disappointed at first as I was comparing this to a computer with a 17" monitor, and when i received it with a 15" flat screen I was WTF, but after reviewing the ad ... it was my bad they did not specify the monitor size. Other than that it works as advertised, I needed an Old School computer to run my CNC Hardware and that's what I got.
