It works well BUT Dell is the pits... they no longer carry this model and it costs more to repair then replace. The next model up has different cartridges so if you have any left when this model goes, tough luck as they can only take a specific kind of cartridge. the quality is good, but unless you like talking to foreigners that speak broken english, you don't get very far with tech support.

I have had this printer for a year now, and since I got it, I have had to babysit the printing. The top is where you load the paper, and it always jams up, or doesn't suck the paper in. When it does take the paper, it prints sideways and cuts off half the page. My wife also got the same printer and had the same problems. Hand writing is easier than using this POS.

Nothing but problems with this printer ever since I got it. Random paper jams on printing, complete shut downs during photo copying, poor photo scanning quality, EXPENSIVE cartridges, etc. Got so frustrated with it a few days ago trying to copy a few things I literally smashed it to bits with 5 double-fisted over head blows to the printer. Best thing I ever did, forced me to get a new one.

This does NOT work with any Mac OS. It uses a proprietary windows printer language.

I love this little printer, it works great for the projects I have. I learned the hard way, not to use anything but Dell cartridges. Compatable cartridges cause all kinds of errors. So, stay with Dell and it works like a champ!

I am on my third printer. Dell quit making this one and I have bought two from Amazon; I use one in our house, and my husband who is a preacher uses one in his study. I thought I had a problem with mine and bought another one only to find out it was the paper I was using.

This unit was purchased to replace one that was broken it came with everything I needed to plug and play. Works just like the previous one.

The printer works just wonderful.It is still doing and excellent job today. If I had to I would purchase this product again

I purchased this printer as part of a package directly from Dell in 2006. It did work adequately for about 2 1/2 years, but definitely not good for large print jobs. The scanner went first - I am still not sure if it is the software or the scanner itself - but it stopped being able to be used because it froze up the entire computer to where it had to be shut down each and every time I attempted to use it. Then the copier function went. Lastly, the feeder stopped working and I tried everything - including opening up the back and turning it upside down to shake anything that might have gotten stuck in it. All to no avail. So, bottom line - if you need a printer for only two years and don't want to spend much - this could fit the bill. For any long term use - spend a little more and get something that has quality.

I also agree with the others about Dell's customer service - it is just about non-existant in terms of usefulness.

This printer came with my pc as a package deal. I must say it makes horrible black and white prints, but if you make color prints on the highest quality they come out beautifully. You don't need to get the photo color cartridge, the regular 3 color one does fine. I am an art student and have gotten very nice high quality prints that helped me get jobs. I recommend it if you want to make good color prints, unfortunately the biggest size it will print is 8.5x11
