This port replicator with my two 19" LCD works excellent in my new Latitude E4310 laptop.

+ 10/100/1000 Lan

+ PS/2 keyboard and mouse connector (for save USB connectors)

+ 5 USB connector + your USB in your laptop (yes you can use it at the same time)

+ 2 DVI or 2 Display-Port for two displays (you can use 1 DVI and 1 Display port, or 2 DVI, or 2 Display port, never 3 or 4 monitors at the same time, the manual said this.

Check the E-Flat panel stand accessory, looks very nice and save space.

Why Alienware laptops don't have docking stations? This is the reason why I purchase Latitude.

If your laptop comes and goes from your office a lot and you get tired of plugging everything in - Mouse, Printer, External Hard Drive, Monitor, Keyboard. Plug it all in to a port replicator and Bob's your Uncle - no need to plug and unplug again. I could not imagine my office laptop without a port replicator. This one has quite a few USB ports as well as DVI and VGA ports for multiple monitors.

I had a docking station with my last Dell laptop. When it became necessary to replace my laptop I bought a new DELL; however I did not purchase the replicator at the same time. I never realized how spoiled I had been. So, I ordered a new replicator and I am spoiled again. It's so convenient and I love it. With my separate large monitor (DELL)and wireless key board it makes life easier and Im all over that. Good investment!

We had purchased the same model a few months ago for one of our two Dell E6500 series laptops and knew it was a quality product. As soon as we received additional funding, it was simply a matter of finding and purchasing another replicator from Amazon so that both of our laptops could perform as desktop replacements.

Works nicely. Has all the ports that I could need.

Like many port replicators, there's a bit of uncertainity as to if the laptop is docked properly - an extended base to support the bottom of the laptop might have helped.

But I'm quite happy with it.

A good docking station is one of the two reasons why I buy Dell business notebooks. Also, the fact that docking stations remain compatible for a number of years, is a big plus. Besides the fact that you don't have to hassle around with all the connectors every time you connect your notebook at home, you get a number of additional connectors that cannot be found on the notebook itself. While there might be some differences between notebooks here, this is the "added connectivity" for me:

Dock connectors not found on the notebook:

- RS232 (serial)

- Centronics (Parallel Printer)

- Dual DVI-D video ports

- second display port

- second SATA channel

- PS/2 style keyboard & mouse

In short: get this and replace your desktop computer with your notebook. My system is a Dell Precision M4500.

Very pleased with the replicator, has alot of USB ports. Set up was easy and I just dropped my laptop into it and it worked fine. Happy with the purchase, but it's a bit pricey so I only gave it 4 stars.
