Perfection, BUT beware of drivers
on August 30, 2013
before i jump into the review i want to list the rig used to connect these beautiful displays to explain that this issue may be card specific, and you may or may not encounter my experiences with these monitors
I had the latest drivers for my GPU and DX11 and DX9

CPU: Intel I7 3930k Not overclocked
GPU: Nvidia MSI Geforce GTX 680 Ports- DVI-I DVI-D Displayport HDMI

4 Dell E2414H, and plan to buy 4 more!
Purpose for Purchase:

Lights on- [...]
Lights off- [...]
the monitors are easy to setup no more than 3 parts with no tools needed (did NOT Mount them, though this is available)
the picture quality is absolutely stunning!
the color profile for graphic design is perfect and may be viewed from any angle.
the monitor stand is reliable and will stay in place where ever you see fit.
the monitor options are easily adjustable and work well with across board media.
very light weight and and no hassle to move around or re-situate
no gloss or shine to distract the eyes while working or watching entertainment
cheap and affordable, and cheaper then the Dell Website cost by a huge margin.
Ships quick and safe with no issue.
upon receiving these monitors you will find that there is a driver cd inside the box, and as usual is it outdated, which is no problem, because windows will inform you of an updated version and install that. The software is nice, it will allow you to control multiple displays without having to use the buttons on the monitor for each one to match any changes you may want to make. However, the main issue with this software is after so many minutes the displays turn on and you must restart the machine or unplug and plug them back in to be detected again because they have gone into an off mode which cannot be changed.
this being the issue i tried multiple fixes like checking advanced power settings and also checking the sleep options under the software. Now there are two ways to fix this, 1 either uninstall the drivers or 2 turn off the software from msconfig (if in windows 7,) or use task manager startup (windows 8) and disable the dell software from start up that controls the profiles for the displays. if you decide to take option 2 that is because you would like to keep the ability to change for example brightness across multiple displays without doing this one by one.
one other small thing that may bother some, is that when the monitors are not in use the power button will flash on and off every so many seconds, users who may be in a dark room this can cause a slight annoyance, even though this may be little i would still like to include any details about the product as i can.
all in all these monitors are absolutely amazing, stunning for all purpose use in every field, and considering the price from Dell website is $200 which was originally $230, i would have to say these monitors are a steal and worth every penny! if you are looking for crisp perfect cheap 24' displays these are a must buy!
