Although It appears Dell has discontinued this little television, (mine was a referb) if you can still find it I can highly recommend you buy it.
Bought mine from Amazon 3rd party for $212 ! The picture and sound quality is VERY good for an LCD HDTV, easily surpassing the 32" LCD we have by another manufacturer. (although NOT surpassing our InFocus 7205 HD projector!)This TV was manufactured by Phillips for Dell and the quality shows it. My teenage sons each have one and they are used as both TV and computer monitor. Comes without a manual but can be downloaded from Dell. Two thumbs up !

Nice tv until it dies. Mine died at 2 1/2 years of use. Just not worth the cost. We paid $700 for it. You can get better cheaper.

I bought this about a year ago and as soon as a year hit it died. The problem with this TV is the back light inverter ( The thing that makes the TV glow) is poorly made. Instead of paying $400 for a new HDTV i just fixed it myself with this useful website called Moniserv. They provide instructions on how to fix the TV step by step taking it apart. One with no technical knowledge can do the fix all you have to do is be careful. lcdparts dot net or com is where you can get the inverter, its under the model W1700.
