5.0 out of 5 stars The Best MT Book You Can Own
Except for texts such as Dorland's, Drug Indexes, etc., this is probably the best MT book you can get. It is not only a course in itself (it needs to be used in conjunction with the workbook of the same name) but is a useful reference for as long as you work in medical transcription. With self discipline (you need that to work at home anyway) you can make this book...

I wish I had known this book must be used with Delmar's Medical Transcription Handbook. I was under the impression that it would be more like HPI's Medical Transcription Workbook. I am studying for Part 2 (practical)of the CMT exam and was hoping this would be helpful. This book takes basic to a new level. One of the questions is "Describe the difference between...

One of the questions is "Describe the difference between rewind and review, the fast forward and cue." If you are still interested, you need to be aware that the answers are not included.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent choice for newbies and oldies for honing skills., September 19, 1997

This book is an excellent condensed resource book for basic generalized information specific to Medical Transcription. There are breakdowns of words, terminology, tests an exercises for skill building. It is basically a text book used apparently for Medical Transcription. I would recommend it highly for anyone going into this field or returning to it
