Possibly the most beautiful waffle maker available, this retro-design appliance cooks Belgian waffles that are just as impressive--with crisp, golden outsides, light, fluffy insides, and four triangular sections with deep pockets to catch the syrup and butter. The round waffle maker cooks one Belgian waffle at a time and has a red power light that illuminates upon plug-in. An adjustable thermostat lets you select the crispiness of the waffle from among five temperature settings. Once the waffle maker has heated to the desired temperature, the green ready light illuminates and a pleasant beeping sound alerts you in case you are in another part of the kitchen. When the waffle has finished baking, the beeper conveniently sounds again. The nonstick plates make the waffle easy to remove and clean up quickly when baking is done. The exterior chrome finish gets extremely hot during cooking though, so exercise caution. However, the handle and surrounding area are made of heat-proof plastic and chrome to ensure that hands are fairly well protected. The round, compact waffle maker shape let it store upright in tight spaces--and it has a locking handle. A very good product, makes excellent waffles. My only issue is the locking clasp is plastic, I don't see that lasting extremely long, but I would recommend the product.
