My review focuses on Delphi Classics' Complete Works of Anthony Trollope. Those who love Victorian-Era classics don't need to be convinced how important of an author Trollope was. This single-file ebook collection of virtually all of Trollope's fictional and much of his non-fictional writing is an amazing achievement and an incredible value at $2.99. I have several of Delphi's other Kindle complete-works collections, and I now consider them to be the standard against which all Kindle public-domain classics collections should be compared.

Though this ebook is huge (over 48 MB), Delphi has organized the collection well to make navigation among the many works simple. I was especially pleased to see that Delphi provides separate hyperlinked tables of contents for the Barsetshire series and the Palliser series. Within each series, the novels are listed in chronological order in the table of contents. As usual, Delphi includes a generous helping of images throughout that provide interesting insights and information about Trollope's life and works. This ebook is a real treasure for Trollope fans. Just be very patient with it when you download it because it took a long time (easily an hour or more) for my Kindle 3 (aka "Kindle Keyboard") to index it, due to its size.

Though the formatting of the works is very pleasing to the eye, I haven't had an opportunity to read enough of this collection yet to vouch for the accuracy of the text. The wonderful thing, though, is that if customers point out any deficiencies (typos, missing text, or even missing works), Delphi is very responsive, in my experience, and will likely correct the issues in an updated edition, which is provided at no additional cost to anyone who had previously purchased the applicable title. I hope Delphi is around for a long, long time to continue making these marvelous public-domain classics collections available to Kindle readers. Highly recommended.

Great collection of Trollope works that I downloaded to Kindle Fire. They have been scanned in properly and one does not encounter many spelling errors like in some other e-books. Have read several of the Palliser & Barsetshire novels. The few illustrations especially the one of the author are delights. The collection is a treasure trove to be enjoyed over time.

I can think of only one negative for downloading a collection rather than an individual book. One does not know where one is in the book being read. The location indicator at the bottom of the screen might show 10% but it relates to the whole collection and one could be almost at the end of the book being read. It is also important to set frequent book marks since it is impossible to find the exact location in the large collection if one navigates away for some reason (like pressing the wrong button).

This Delphi edition is just about perfect. This is everything a collection should be. Trollope takes relatively simple, though no less unique, situations of everyday life (often pertaining to politics or the church--but always at the personal level) and develops them into interesting, full-blown novels by his powers of observation and description, and his marvelous use of dialogue to further the plot.

Trollope cannot be improved upon, and the same goes for this set. The works are well-formatted and easily accessible--and virtually every title is here. Trollope lovers will love this set. (Don't be tempted by less expensive sets which seem to offer a lot of Trollope. I purchased one only to discover that more than a third of the books in it did not distinguish paragraphs by indenting or spacing. That's when I did my homework and bought this Delphi set.)

Trollope is surprisingly fun to read. He is a wordsmith, not unlike Austen, who knows how to tell a story--and he does it well. That's why he is unique among authors included in such complete works collections; virtually EVERYTHING he wrote is not only worth reading but enjoyable to read.

I have downloaded many of the free public domain etexts of Anthony Trollope's novels, as well as a couple of the other pay collections here on Amazon. Delphi's collection is hands-down the best and the only one I've purchased that I feel was worth the money. It has a live table of contents (all of the entries are clickable links), including links for the grouped novels of the Barsetshire Chronicles and the Palliser Chronicles, plus a live chapter menu for each novel. The formatting is clean, simple, and elegantly readable, with few typos or OCR errors. It's a pleasure to read an ebook collection like this, which is put together with such obvious care and respect for the literary talent being presented. And if, like me, you enjoy reading books on your iPad using the Kindle software, you've probably also been frustrated at the lack of the "collections" function in the iOS version of Kindle Reader. The Delphi collections get around that limitation neatly by collecting favorite authors in one omnibus file that is easily navigated from the tables of content -- essentially a replacement for the collections function. I've put together a few collections of my own by hand that way using ebook creator software, but it took hours of work. For less than three dollars, Delphi has done all of that for me, and done it well.

I plan on buying many more of the already-released Delphi collections, and I look forward to even more of them being produced (how about one for the brilliant Arthur Machen?)
