Enables you to check the Dante quotes in Italian on buildings in Florence, and understand them as well, either in prose or poetry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent March 29, 2013

This edition has it all: good translations, good explicatory notes in the prose translation, and excellent italian text also. The drawings of Dore well transmitted. Though it is not a critical edition, it is everything else, and is more than worth its price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bleary Illustations Marr Illustrious Edition! October 6, 2014

Good translations, well-ordered material. The Gustave Dore illustrations are very low-res, though. They should have not been included, since they simply swell the kilobytes of the beast, without adding any adornment. To consider and remember the beauty of them when seen in detail, is to be assaulted by these blurred memorials in one's Kindle app.
