1.0 out of 5 stars An instruction book on how to build their Hypermedia Engine., November 17, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Delphi 2 Multimedia Adventure Set: The Best Way to Develop Multimedia with Animation, Sound, Video, Music, and More with Delphi 2 (Paperback)
This book is pretty much useless unless you just want to build their hypermedia engine. (What good is that? Don't you have enough of your own programs to work on without having to launch into the construction of someone else's project just to demonstrate the application of some particular sample of code?). This book has been gathering dust since I bought it. I couldn't find anything dealing with general multimedia programming, just working with their hypermedia engine. If I have to use the phrase 'hypermedia engine' one more time I'm going to explode!!! I only wish that before I had bought this book, someone had already written a review on it so that I could have saved my money. Not recommended for purchase by anyone!

2.0 out of 5 stars A book focused in Windows multimedia, not in Delphi mmedia, August 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Delphi 2 Multimedia Adventure Set: The Best Way to Develop Multimedia with Animation, Sound, Video, Music, and More with Delphi 2 (Paperback)
This is an outdated book on Windows multimedia. it does touch delphi multimedia just barely. does not have any power multimedia techniques and focuses too much in the creation of an hypertext engine.

Finally the book seems to be a too quick hack of the same book for Visual Basic programmers, it even uses "Visual Basic" instead of "delphi" in various parts of the book.

I would not recommend this book to anyone.
