Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The XM Roady2 personal audio system from Delphi turns your Roady2 XM Satellite Radio receiver into a portable listening device, no strings attached. You'll no longer be dependent on your XM home or car adapter kit for listening--the personal audio system includes a streamlined docking station, a headset with a built-in XM antenna, and a dedicated, compact AC power adapter for indoor use. A Roady2 XM receiver is required for use and sold separately.

The kit also expands the Roady2's performance abilities, giving you a digital FM tuner (especially handy when the XM signal is obstructed by buildings, trees, etc.) and a stock ticker so you can keep track of up to 20 of your favorite stocks while listening to your favorite XM music, news, sports, and talk channels. (Stock data is provided by Comstock, Inc.; stock and market index information is delayed by approximately 25 minutes.)

A built-in wireless XM audio adaptor transmits the XM signal to one of 12 FM frequencies, perfect for wireless use through a car stereo, boombox, surround receiver, hi-fi component tuner, or other radio. An additional volume control on the headset lets you adjust the volume of both XM and FM stations without your having to access the main unit.

A rechargeable and replaceable lithium-ion battery pack built into the docking station lasts up to 4 hours in XM mode and at least 12 hours in FM mode. The docking station's blue backlit LCD shows XM channel info as well as FM station and battery-life status.

What's in the Box
Personal audio system docking station, a built-in lithium-ion battery, a set of custom-designed headphones with an integrated XM antenna, an AC power adapter, a user's manual, and a quick setup guide.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Product, January 17, 2005

If you already have a Roady2 , and you're looking for a portable solution, you will like this product. It does everything it says it does. It is very heavy, though, and I wouldn't recommend it for jogging. I use it at my gym when I'm on the treadmill, and for this purpose it works well. If you haven't purchased a Roady2, you might as well get the Myfi. It's a lot more expensive but when you add up the cost of the Roady2 and the Delphi Personal Audio System, you'll end up spending the same amount of money. Overall, it's good but not great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy, December 26, 2004
Just a quick warning, this thing is heavy. The battery pack is a lot of weight. Go to the store and pick it up in your hands to feel for sure. For the price of this and the Roady2, you might as well get the portable unit to begin with.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gread Signal , Bad Case Design (Better than MyFi), May 16, 2005
This review is from: Delphi SA10109 Delphi XM Roady2 Personal Audio System (Electronics)
Great Signal (better than a MyFi XM2Go ) because the XM antenna is on the top of the headphones . Even in the woods fair Signal some cutouts. But poor Case design VERY hard to get out of The dock to use in your car.

Pros. Great signal (with NO repeaters)

FM Radio As a backup (but unless your underground

You'll have good signal)

Cons. VERY BAD CASE DESIGN feels cheep , very hard to remove

Roady 2 from The Personal Audio System.
