Fast easy way to get XM satellite radio ......,
By Evitzee (Fredericksburg, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Delphi SA10276 Roady XT XM Satellite Radio Receiver (Electronics)
I have factory XM in my other car and enjoy it on long drives. So I wanted to put a unit in my 2002 Subaru WRX. This radio looked like it fit the bill; small and not too expensive. It is a very compact unit, about the size of a deck of cards and 1/4" thick. I usually have poor luck using universal fittings but I was able to use the vent mount which worked just fine and puts the unit at just the right height. I put the magnetic antenna on the roof above the windshield and carefully inserted the wire under the weather stripping, inside the door, and under the dash to the cradle on the vent. I spent a bit of time also hiding the cigarette mount power cord, and the cassette adaptor wires, so it looks like a pretty clean installation. After activating I get a full signal and good clean sound. I'd recommend this unit without hesitation. Just take your time to install it correctly.

Nice Item But How Do You Hide the Wires?,

I bought this for my mom as a Mothers Day gift and she couldn't be happier with it. It simply clips on the air vent then you plug the adapter into the car stereo's tape deck. The thing is there are wires everywhere, which doesn't seem to bother her but it sure bothers me. The manual advises to stick the antenna on the back windshield but gives no indication on how you would route it outside without wires hanging out. A previous reviewer said they just leave the antenna dangling on the car floor but that didn't work consistently when I tried it, so we have the magnetic antenna sticking to the passenger door.
Those things aside, the price is right and the service is neat. After registering with XM online (cheaper than over the phone), the service was up and running within 15 minutes. XM is great, I wish I had it myself-- and this little receiver has lots of cool, easy to use features. You might want to opt for professional installation though unless you have an inkling of where to hide the wires.

Continuous music.,
This review is from: Delphi SA10276 Roady XT XM Satellite Radio Receiver (Electronics)
This is a great product, once you get used to having to find a new FM frequency in almost every major metropolitan area. My vehicle does not have a cassette slot, only a CD slot (single play), so this required attaching an extra wire to my FM antenna, so that I could receive the signal through my FM radio. Once tuned, it is outstanding, and after you've done it a couple of times, you can switch frequencies quickly.
