This is the best suitcase I have ever owned...by far. It's outer material is extremely durable. My cat can't even scratch thru it- believe me, he's tried. It has withstood various international plane and train trips beautifully. Beware, however, that this is a very LARGE bag. It will not fit on overhead train racks-even the ones built for check-in sized luggage. So, be prepared to have it squished against your legs for the duration of your ride. Also, it can become very heavy with all of the space it provides. Keep in mind airline weight restrictions when you are packing. Plenty of room for ski accessories, several pairs of clunky shoes, etc. I also like the way the sides are lined with zippered compartments, and the expandable zipper feature. Really, a very good, sturdy roller bag.
