Carbide-tipped for longer life, Delta's 8-inch dado head stack fits snugly together to groove impressively smooth square-bottomed slots. The five inside chipper blades allow you the option of cutting dadoes up to 13/16 of an inch wide and as thin as 1/8 of an inch. The blades feature safety shoulders that help control overcutting, thus lessening the chance of kickback, a frequent hazard due to this type of cut's large surface area contact. I am very pleased after one week's use of the Delta 35-535 8" Dado Set. I have used it on both hardwood and softwoods to make box joints and it has performed very well. More specific directions on use of the shims provided would have been appreciated and helpful. Overall, it is much more accurate on precise projects than my old "wobble" dado blade.

I BOUGHT THIS DADO BLADE BACK IN JULY AND IT CUTS A LITTLE ROUGH. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THIS BLADE IS THE BOTTOM OF THE CUT. IT LOOKS LIKE THE NEW YORK SKY-LINE. I SENT IT BACK TO DELTA AND THEY REPLACED IT WITH A NEW. GUESS WHAT? SAME PROBLEM. AT... . THIS IS A GOOD PRICE, BUT I'M GOING TO SPEND ... MORE AND PURCHASE A FREUD 8" SUPER DADO SET. YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE.

I bought this blade a little over a year ago and it's one of the biggest wastes of money that I've ever seen. Cuts through solid wood are only fair but the cuts through plywood leave a lot of tear out and the bottom is uneven and very rough. If you look closely at the picture you will see that there is a small plate attached to the inside of both the outter blades. I though these were a machined on integral part of the blade. NOT!! They are simply glued on as I discovered when one fell off. The quality of construction on this dado is way below par. Spend the extra money and get a Freud or Forrest(if you really have the extra dough). You will not regret it as I now do.
