Excellent addition to the lathe,

I wanted to work with small stock and only had a 1" spur center. On a hunch, I picked up this item for use as a drive center and have been amazed with the performance of its simplicity. Not only can I work with smaller stock and not worry about catching the tool on the spurs, but it also greatly reduces the damage done if the tool catches on the wood at any speed. Two thumbs and a big toe up for this little beauty.
